Visit & Vibes
Today I wanted to go a wee drive and see somewhere new, and the last time when I did an East Coast drive I got as far as Eyemouth….so I spotted Seahouses and set my satnav.
I didn’t do any research for places to see or eat, so I left it as a surprise and randomly choose this place.

The Food
When I arrived I was very hungry as it was around 2 pm, and I had a quick glance at the menu and thought…YES! burger time!
The Bamburgh Castle Inn Burger £16.00
6oz chuck steak burger served in a toasted sesame brioche bun with smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and red onion, topped with ICG burger sauce. Served with thick-cut chips

On arrival, this looked ok, and the chips looked very nice.
I tried the chips first and they were perfectly cooked, had a lovely texture, and were nicely salted. The further down I got some were a little crispy but I do like crispy chips so it was all good.
I took a big bite of the burger and ok this was nice, flavour was nice but not amazing. The burger patty was perfectly cooked, had a nice flavor, and with everything combined it was nice.
For a pub burger, this was good, as the burger patty wasn’t thin…it did have a good thickness to it.
I did spot on my burger and my friend’s burger we were missing our red onions and tomatoes…..maybe they ran out today.

Final Thoughts…
Overall I had a nice time and enjoyed my dining experience, it was a nice burger but I would try something else if I visit again.

The above blog post review is 100% honest and has not been influenced in anyway. Its a true representation of my thoughts.

We ordered our fish and chips only to find out when it arrived that we needed to also order tartare sauce at £2 a portion with the dinner order, which wasn’t made clear. I had to leave my dinner and go order the sauce which arrived at the table just as I finished my scampi !!
I’ve also eaten here, ordered starters and mains. Starters were absolutely amazing (I went for Prawn Cocktail). However my main, fish and chips, was a huge letdown. The fish was overcooked (very crunchy) and the batter made it look bigger than what it was. The chips that accompanied it were on the small side. Overall, I would rate this place 3 stars too so the review is spot on. They have a good array on beers on tap but it’s very expensive for what it is; pub grub. Perhaps you’re paying for the view.
