The Bamburgh Castle Inn (Seahouses, Northumberland) 2023 : Review

Visit & Vibes

Today I wanted to go a wee drive and see somewhere new, and the last time when I did an East Coast drive I got as far as Eyemouth….so I spotted Seahouses and set my satnav.

I didn’t do any research for places to see or eat, so I left it as a surprise and randomly choose this place.

The Food

When I arrived I was very hungry as it was around 2 pm, and I had a quick glance at the menu and thought…YES! burger time!

The Bamburgh Castle Inn Burger £16.00
6oz chuck steak burger served in a toasted sesame brioche bun with smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and red onion, topped with ICG burger sauce. Served with thick-cut chips

On arrival, this looked ok, and the chips looked very nice.

I tried the chips first and they were perfectly cooked, had a lovely texture, and were nicely salted. The further down I got some were a little crispy but I do like crispy chips so it was all good.

I took a big bite of the burger and ok this was nice, flavour was nice but not amazing. The burger patty was perfectly cooked, had a nice flavor, and with everything combined it was nice.

For a pub burger, this was good, as the burger patty wasn’t thin…it did have a good thickness to it.

I did spot on my burger and my friend’s burger we were missing our red onions and tomatoes…..maybe they ran out today.

Yeah, guys finally getting round to post this as have SOOOO many posts to well post….

Something I don’t do enough is meet up with other bloggers, and today I was meeting Emma (Emma Eats) and Wendy (Weekends with Wendy) for brunch at Singl-end in Glasgow.

I have never been here before which really shocked the girls, but I never visit this back street more the main one….so let’s see what I thought of it.

First thing this place is very cute inside, and if your a dog owner then this is a great place for you as its dog-friendly.

Since it was brunch I didn’t want to eat too much in case I went out for dinner later.

The Food…

Singl-end Smoothie : Sunshine on Glasgow £4.95

This was very thick but very nice, so I would just sip this from start to end of the brunch.

It was packed with great flavours that worked really well, and I would have it again when I visit next.

This was AMAZING!!!! every mouthful was great, the flavours overall just perfect and the portion size was really good and excellent value for money.

I finished it all and felt full but not ready to explode full which is always good.

Overall

My first visit here won’t be my last, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.

I also liked that it was dog-friendly so this is a great help to anyone that owns a dog, as there are not many places that cater to this….well for now

Everyone inside today looked very relaxed, having a nice time with friends or family….and enjoying the food…even the dogs.

This is a new one on my list that I will aim to visit again.
