About
Five Sisters Zoo’s mission is to encourage the conservation of endangered wildlife for both native and non-native species and create a safe and natural environment for all animals in our collection.
Visit & Vibes
I love a wee random drive and a wee random find, and today’s find was this zoo.
The last zoo I visited was Fife Zoo, so I thought yeah let’s check these guys out.
On arrival, they have a good-sized car park, and after paying the entrance fee the map I was given wow this place was a good size and had some great animals inside.
My inner child was wakened and very happy and ready to explore.
The Zoo and Animals
There was probably a good way to walk around here, but my eyes were shooting all over the place and I just went with the flow.

At the start of the journey, I saw some otters and meerkats, then went to the monkey house and aviary.
It was great to see all these animals, some I have never seen before so I was having a great time.
I then continued outside and headed to the back of the zoo, where I came across the gibbons, reindeer, and also a big bear.

Wow, this was so good, and this is the first time I have seen a bear this close.
I continued on and saw the lions, wow they were gorgeous!
I continued my walk and saw many other animals.

Final Thoughts…
This was such a fun wee visit, I can’t wait to return when it’s better weather and earlier so I can walk around at a slightly slower pace (I arrived about 1 hour before closing today).
This is another zoo I highly recommend you visit, it’s great for kids and big kids like me.
