Todays Visit

Head Chef Nikolas Zalonis is proud to open a shop after his much loved catering company boomed.

Nikolas invited me to their recent event but unfortunately, I couldn’t make it, so I went the next day and purchased a few items as it’s always good to support locals and to see what the goodies were like.

When I visited Greece I didn’t really try any sweets which is strange as I have a sweet tooth, so I was really looking forward to trying these.

The Goodies

I had no idea what to pick before entering, I just knew I had to watch what I select due to a specific nut allergy (some nuts am ok with)

Peanut Butter & Sour Cherry

I love peanut butter and chocolate and cherry’s so I had to take this home with me.

Visually out of the packet it was in this looked very nice, and I could see it was good quality chocolate and a good amount of cherry’s through it.

Time to taste it and see what it was like.

At first, I got the chocolate flavour which was very nice, followed by the cherry and a hint of peanut butter at the end….overall it worked very well altogether.

This was very nice, and if I am honest it didn’t last very long.

Cookie Mousse & Chocolate

When I was browsing what to select, this stood out for me mostly because of how it looked…then I read its description and yip! this was getting ordered.

In my mind, I thought this would be just like a doughnut but I was very wrong, its shaped like one but that’s where it stops.

I took a knife and went to cut it in half and I got the texture all wrong, this cracked and as you can see was lovely and creamy inside with a nice smooth chocolate shell.

I had to get a spoon for this and took a big spoonful….ohh this was amazing! all the flavours just worked well together and I loved the cookie creamy mousse mmmm

Truffle mix

To finish my order today I had to get some truffles and I randomly selected a few just so I could try them.

Yip I only got 4 but they were 4 very good truffles.

I got two coconut ones and the other was chocolate, the chocolate ones were nice and good flavour but the winner 1000% for me was the coconut ones.

The coconut ones tasted the way bounty used to be, packed with lovely coconut flavour and moist and extremely moreish!

On my next visit, I will be getting more of these as they were so so good!

Visit Overall

Overall my introduction to some Greek sweets was very good, and I look forward to visiting again and trying a few other sweets.
