The Boathouse (Kilsyth) 2022 : Review

Todays Visit

Today I decided to do a wee random drive, and check here out

A friend has been here a few times, and recommended it and said it was really really nice….so I had to see for myself.

The view from the back of the Boat House was very nice and I loved seeing all the docked boats.

I had no idea what to order, and I arrived late afternoon so this would be lunch and dinner combined.

I saw they did pizza so I had to try one.

Marinara £9.95
pizza tomato sauce, fresh cherry tomatoes, anchovies, garlic basil & oregano.

I also added some cheese as this didn’t come with it, and the waitress suggested it…everything is better with cheese 🙂

On arrival, this looked and smelled really really good! I couldn’t wait to dig in as I was very hungry.

I took a bite and mmm the flavours were great and the anchovies added that lovely saltiness to this which gave the perfect bite.

I really enjoyed this pizza, and could easily have it again.

traditional home-made Italian trifle

I had some room left after that pizza, so I thought let’s order Tiramisu as I have not had it in ages.

On arrival, this looked very good, and I couldn’t wait to try it.

I took a bite and it was nice, though it had a very subtle coffee flavour which I am used to with tiramisu.

Overall it was nice, but a little more coffee flavour would have been good but that’s a personal taste thing.

Overall today’s visit was very good, I enjoyed the pizza and dessert.
