Swadish Modern Indian Cuisine 2022 : Review

The Visit

It was time for me to go back to Swadish, and try some new dishes off the new menu.

Tonight’s visit I went with a close friend and her mum, and we were all looking forward to trying some of the food.

Starter

KOLHAPURI CHOPS £18.00
Scottish lamb chops, ginger, sesame, peppercorns, fennel, garam masala, mint chutney, pomegranate

We decided to share the starter so there was plenty of room for the main course.

I have had chops here before, but this was a different style from my last visit and I loved them so I couldn’t wait to try them tonight.

I took a bite and this was cooked to perfection! the flavours were very good and I enjoyed every bite.

I was never really a lamb fan or chops fan till I got them from here and now I am converted.

If you are a chops fan I highly recommend you try them.

Main Course

PRAWN MALABAR £20.00
Whole jumbo king prawns, Shallots, garlic, curry leaves, tamarind, coconut milk

I wanted to try the lobster tonight, but I have no idea how to properly eat one and I didn’t want to be too messy tonight.

My next option was the Prawn Malabar as it sounded very good!

On arrival, this looked and smelled really really good and I couldn’t wait to dig in and try something new.

This was creamy, packed with lovely flavours and the king prawns were cooked perfectly.

I think this is my new favourite curry, as I loved the subtle coconut hints that were coming through the sauce and as you know I like that as I normally love a good korma.

I look forward to having this again at some point, but I will try another dish next visit.

Dessert

Forbidden Apple £10.50
Granny smith apple, dill, white chocolate mousse, apple liquor

I was lucky enough to have this not long after it was added to the menu, but at this point, I was a judge and didn’t post anything about it.

Tonight I wanted to have it again and take photos to show you what it was like.

Firstly the presentation on arrival is very cool, we all love that little bit of wow factor and this has that.

Next, when you crack this open you are given a lovely white chocolate mousse and everything together is mmmm as you get a great texture and flavours.

I love this as I have a sweet tooth and I can’t wait to have it again.

My Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Visit Overall:

It was nice to be back at Swadish, and we all had a lovely meal and a really nice evening.

Have you checked out Swadish’s new menu? if yeah what did you have and what would you recommend I try next visit?
