Visit : 27-03-2022
A few weeks back I took a drive to St Andrew’s and passed the Scottish Deer Centre.
Today’s visit I wanted to go and see some deer but before that, I stopped at Fife Zoo, which is a small but lovely zoo and you should check it out.
About The Scottish Deer Centre
The Scottish Deer Centre is a 55-acre zoological park near Cupar in Fife, Scotland. The attraction is set on the estate of Over Rankeilour, at the former Over Rankeilour Farm close to the hamlet of the Bow of Fife.
The Deer Centre
I had no idea what to expect and for me that was perfect, obviously going by the name I knew I would see deer but would there be anything else.
I spotted the map and saw there was a few other animals, and the sun was out so I knew I was going to have a nice walk about the centre.
I entered the park and took a right turn and came across the Bird of Prey section, and wow the birds that I could see (even in their enclosure) were very cool as I have never been this close to any of these before.
I got talking to one of the main guys who worked there and learned they do an experience, which is something I have always wanted to do so keep watching as I will be aiming to do this at some point this year.
I decided to start in the opposite direction and work around the centre close wise and I think this is the best way to do this.
The deer I came across were all amazing and beautiful to see, some were noisier than others and came up to the fence very close to me and others.
I won’t show too much or say too much as it’s worth a visit! for kids and big kids like me.
I didn’t know that there were so many types of deer and also I saw a few other animals like a bear and wildcat which was very cool
As I said I will be aiming to try the Bird of Prey experience so keep watching, but as I said do check out here and also Fife Zoo as doing both in one day is a great day out.
