The Visit
The guys at Bo’ness Spice kindly invited me to come and check them out, and try some of their food. So we arranged a day and time, and I set my satnav and off I went.
At the time of visiting they have only been opened for 5 weeks, but the whole time I was in eating the phone was going like crazy, and the delivery and collections were booming…so I couldn’t wait to try the food if this is how popular it was already.
Starter
SABZI PAKORA (normally £3.95)
(5 pieces) Deep fried balls of gram flour, onions, mixed vegetables &
a variety of spices, served with special sauce.
I wanted to try a big dish as my main, so I thought I would play safe and go for nice pakora to start with.
Ohhh the presentation was very nice, and it smelled really good…I couldn’t wait to dig in.
I took a bite of one without the sauce, to see how it was and wow!!!! these are really good.
These are nice and light, perfect texture and packed with flavour.
So so so good!!!!
My Rating:
SHAHI CHASNI (normally £8.75) + Pilau Rice (normally £2.95)
Chicken kebabs cooked in a delicate sweet & sour sauce with a touch
of fresh herbs & spices.
I broke my little rule, where I always try a restaurants Korma and use to see how good they do their dishes….I decided tonight to select something at random.
I opted for this dish with pilau rice.
On arrival this looked very bright, but had a really great smell and I couldn’t wait to dig in as I was very hungry.
The chicken was nice and tender and the sauce was soo nice, every bite packed a great amount of flavour and I loved it.
The dish was very filling, but I enjoyed it and would order it again on my next visit.
My Rating:
PESHWARI NAAN (normally £3.15)

I love a good Peshwari naan, as I have a sweet tooth so its perfect for me the nice naan flavour with a sweetness going through it.
They looked really good, and now was the taste test.
I was happy to see that they didn’t have a redish colouring inside, as for me that looks artificial….still not sure why or what it is but anyway back to this one…
This was very nice, and my friend also agreed…maybe if I was being fussy and it could be down to my sweet tooth…maybe a little more coconut flavour was needed but as I said that’s a personal thing and my friend thought they were perfect for him.

Firstly a big thanks to Bo’ness Spice for the invite and the food tonight.
I can honestly say that everything tonight, from service to the food was perfect. The food was packed with flavour and cooked perfectly.
Again I was phappy to see how busy they were tonight, as the phone and collections/deliveries was crazy which is great for such a new restaurant.
I highly recommend you check here out, and it will be going on my Top Spots page.
