Visit & Vibes

I was recently invited back to Vinnie’s Pizzeria Takeaway on Cathcart Road in Mount Florida, where they’ve revamped the interior design and asked me to try their pizzas again.

When I first entered, I immediately noticed the significant improvements they had made. The shop looks much more modern and has a nicer vibe and feel. The changes they’ve implemented have made a substantial difference.

The Food

The Big Bang Pizza
Roasted Chicken, Broccoli, Chopped Jalapeños, Roasted Red Peppers Topped With Ranch Dressing & Vinnie’s Hot Sauce.

The guys wanted me to try the Big Bang Pizza. I looked at the ingredients, and the broccoli really stood out. Broccoli on a pizza? Who does that? But I’m always up for trying something at least once. So I said yes, and the rest is history.

When I opened the box at home, the aroma was absolutely amazing. The smell instantly made my mouth water, and visually, it looked good, though the broccoli was still very intriguing to me.

Taking a bite that included the broccoli, the first thing that hit me was the amazing flavour of the sauces, followed by the kick from the jalapenos. The chicken was delicious, and to my surprise, the broccoli actually tasted good with everything else.

I was very surprised, and I really, really liked it. I find it weird to say this, but I would easily order this pizza again, even though it contains broccoli. As a whole, everything just really works, and it’s packed with flavour.

This pizza was finished in no time. It was really tasty, really good, and highly recommended.

Cheesy Peri Fries

The guys also wanted me to try their cheesy peri-peri fries. At first, this didn’t sound as intriguing as the pizza, but after taking it home and having that first bite, I realized I was very wrong.

Firstly, the aroma was pleasant—not overpowering—but the combination of the cheese and the perfectly cooked peri peri fries was absolutely amazing. It was so good it was addictive. I could have easily had another portion or even two. That’s how tasty it was. 

I never thought something like this would work or taste good; it had never occurred to me to order something like this before. But this has really changed my mind, and I absolutely love it. If you need a place to check out and you visit here, order yourself a side of these cheesy peri peri fries. They’re amazing, and you will not regret it. Highly recommended.

Final Thoughts…

This visit was significantly better than my last. The food was much nicer and tastier, and the decor has also improved.

It’s clear that the team has been working hard since my first visit, and it shows. Everything I had tonight was delicious, packed with flavour, and incredibly moreish.
