Visit & Vibes

I have been here a few times and always had a lovely time, great food, and nice wee chats with the staff.

Today I wanted to take a drive and I ended up here, my mum came with me today as she loves this place too.

After a wee walk about the shopping area inside, it was time to go into the restaurant and decide what I fancied trying this visit.

The Food

So this was an interesting meal, and one that was very filling…keep reading to find out why.

Homemade chicken liver pâté & oatcakes….16.95
A taste of haggis & cajun chicken mini fillets with garlic bread, giant onion rings & salad garnish with sour cream and sweet chili dipping sauces.

So my mum said fancy having a pate platter? I didn’t check it out and just said sure as I was reading the options for my main course.

Not long before arrival I read the menu and saw what this really was! Luckily I was hungry.

On arrival this was huge! but it looked so so good! and only one thing to do….dig right in.

I started with the haggis, and it was perfectly cooked, with a lovely thin batter and a fantastic flavor! I moved on to the chicken fillets and wow again cooked perfectly but these had a really lovely flavor and I could have easily had more.

I then moved on to the pate and oh boy this was amazing! the pate had one of the nicest flavors I have tasted in a very long time! and on the oat cakes, were my favorite part of this dish.

This whole starter was really good, and one I would HIGHLY recommend you share with at least 3 people.

Three Cheese Mac & Cheese £11.50

So after my massive starter, this arrived and I was thinking to myself “how am I going to finish this” well only one way to find out…

This looked very nice and I started with the chips.

The chips were perfectly cooked, had a light crispness on the outside, and were lovely and fluffy on the inside.

I tried the mac and cheese and it was mega hot, so this was good as it allowed me to digest some of my starter to free up space.

Once it was a good temperature to eat, this was very nice though I could only taste two cheeses rather than three. The bacon had a really great flavour to it and I really enjoyed it with the mac and cheese.

I didn’t manage to finish it all, but that was to be expected due to having such a big starter.
