Visit & Vibes

The guys at Teamsport E-Karting in Clydebank sent me a wee ping to see if I would like to pop down and see the new makeover and also try out the karting.

I have not done karting for a long time, and this sounded like a great night so I accepted and we set a date.

The Arrival

On arrival, the guys took my details and gave me a wee tour.

This place was very nice! and it was HUGE!!! and also had laser combat…but I will get to that at the end of my post.

They have a cafe/restaurant area, plus a small area next to the track so you can eat and watch the races.

They also have several party rooms, so if you have a wee one or a family member/friend who would fancy having a birthday here then you can have a private area just for you.

The karts are now all electric rather than petrol, so there are no smells and it’s much better for the environment.

I couldn’t wait to get suited up and in the cart, this was going to be a really fun night!

The Race

Once we were suited up, we were taken into a small room to watch a health and safety video which was really good and very informative.

Now it was time to race! woohoo

When we all started we were a little cautious but the more laps we did the more our confidence grew and the faster we all got.

This was so much fun, I felt like I was going about 60mph but it was probably more like 25-35mph. I loved taking the corners and going up and down the bridge section.

This was a great track, you had lots of corners, a tunnel and a bridge which was very cool as you felt like you were travelling mega fast on your way down.

Cost-wise for this, it’s £30 for 2 x 15min slots which for me I think is a very good price, as after 30mins it’s more than enough and you are ready to chill.

The Food

After the many laps, we were a little hungry, and the guys here treated us to some pizza.

The menu is very good and has something for everyone including light bites.

The classic combo of sweet tomato and melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella and a hint of basil

On arrival, this looked good and it had a great aroma…the basil smell hit me and I couldn’t wait to dig right in.

I took a bite and oh this was a good pizza.

The base was nice and thin, and the crust was small but perfectly cooked. The pizza had a very nice flavour, and the hint of basil just rounded off each bite nicely.

Spicy pepperoni, mozzarella and tomato on a classic base with a touch of jalapeño

On arrival this was the one that caught my attention, and also the aroma was really good!

I took a bite and ohhh yes! now, this was mega tasty!

The pepperoni was very thin, but it had a really good flavour and some parts were crispy which just added to the flavour.

I didn’t taste much of the jalapeno but I didn’t care, this was a really nice pepperoni pizza and one I will have again on my next visit.

Final Thoughts…

FUN FUN FUN! that 100% sums up the entire night here for me.

From start to finish (no pun intended) this was a great night filled with great fun and nice food.

I mentioned at the start they also do laser combat, I had a wee peak at the layout etc and it instantly brought me back to my childhood playing Lazer Quest. At some point I will check here out and do a wee post, but if that also sounds like something you fancy check it out and let me know how it was.
