Whole Leaf UK (West End, Glasgow) 2023 : Review

Visit & Vibes

The guys at Whole Leaf sent me a wee invite to come and check them out.

This is another new place in Finnieston for me, so I couldn’t wait to check them out.

On arrival inside is very modern, and they had a BIG menu and everything sounded very good.

I got chatting to the staff tonight and they all were very friendly and lovely to talk to.

The Food

I had a glance at the menu before heading there, but on arrival I let the guys decide what they would like me to try.

Gordon Burger £n/a tonight (normally £8)
4 OZ BEEF PATTIE, CHEESE SLICE, HASH BROWN, ONION RINGS, RED ONION, LETTUCE, TOMATO & GHERKIN

When I unpacked this at home, let me start by saying my photos don’t do it justice.

This was a big burger, and the aroma was very good I couldn’t wait to dig right in.

I took a bite and the first thing I noticed was the textures, then the beef followed by the hash brown and onion rings then everything else.

I don’t normally go for burgers with onion rings or hash browns on them, but I am glad I tried this as I really loved every bite. This burger was cooked perfectly and packed with flavour.

Peri Fries £n/a tonight normally £2.80

The guys suggested I get a side and opted for some Peri Fries.

As soon as I opened the container at home the aroma was wow, this smelled nice then I took a bite and got that wee kick peri gives you.

The chips were cooked perfectly and every chip was perfectly seasoned.

If you have peri fries before then you know exactly how these taste and these worked really well with tonight’s burger.

Halloumi Sticks (5pcs) £n/a tonight normally £4.50

Another wee side the guys gave me were the Halloumi Sticks.

I will apologize for the pic as they didn’t travel well in the car home, but they still tasted really good.

They had a nice texture to them and were a nice wee addition to the takeaway.

Final Thoughts…

Firstly a big thanks to Whole Leaf UK for my invite, it was great to try somewhere new.

The food tonight was very good, I will mention I got two burgers but I gave one to my dad…I did manage to try a wee bit and it was really good it was the Karnak Burger.

Have you tried them? what did you get? let me know in the comments.
