Visit & Vibes
I was invited to come and check out Chickaros new Glasgow branch, which will be opening on the 7th of December 2022.
I accepted and added it to my calendar as from the wee look I had at their menu I couldn’t wait to try their food.
The inside was very modern and very bright, and had a great look and feel to it.

The Food
I had a sneak peek at the menu before going, but when it got time to order what I had in mind to order was completely different from my actual order.
Nachos £n/a tonight (normally £5.99)
Crispy tortilla chips, salsa, cheese & jalapenos
WOW is exactly what I said out loud when this arrived, as this was a BIG portion! but I was hungry so I knew I would be ok.
You can’t really go wrong with nachos and these were very tasty! the flavors textures etc all worked very well together and the jalapenos added a wee kick.
I will admit when I was close to finishing I was starting to worry about how I would finish my main course.
I would maybe suggest sharing a starter and having a main each if you visit….well unless you are very hungry 🙂

The Mexican Cheese £n/a tonight (normally £10.99)
Beef patty topped with a slice of cheese, gherkins, nachos, and Algerian sauce.
I originally thought of a dish that had Cheetos on it, then I saw a chicken burger then I read this one and had to check it out.
I was still eating my Nachos, I had about 1/3 left to eat when this arrived on my table so I had to quickly finish them so they wouldn’t get cold.
Now the nachos were finished, WOW again!!
I was asked what type of chips I would like and just went with the original as I wanted to see what they were like. These were REALLY!!!! good chips and I could have easily just ordered chips as my main…that’s how tasty they were.
The guys then came out with some dry ice for the table which added a fun visual to the table and dishes.
Now it was time to taste this BIG burger.
I will say I have a big mouth but this was a bit of a struggle, but I managed….just.
The first thing that came over was the flavor of the burger, it was very nice and also very juicy which for me is always good as I hate a dry burger. Then the rest of the flavors and the crunch of the nachos.
Personally, I would have preferred either more cheese on it, or a slightly stronger cheese but that’s a personal thing.

Blue Lagoon Mocktail £n/a tonight (normally 6.95)
When I sat down the drinks menu was on the table and for some reason, this mocktail caught my eye, so when asked what would I like to drink I instantly said the Blue Lagoon.
Visually on arrival, this looked very nice, I liked how they added sugar to the rim of the glass that was a nice touch.
This was a nice mocktail, very fresh and tasty and I enjoyed every sip, it also worked well with the dry ice part of the night and the whole meal.
Next visit I will try another one to see what the rest are like.

Final Thoughts…
The rest of the night we had live entertainment from the bagpipes to a fire dancer, all very good and looking around I could see everyone really liked these.
Overall I had a really nice evening, and I enjoyed the food. As mentioned earlier in the post the menu looked really good, so on my next visit, I will try another few dishes.
These are BIG portions so order wisely or go very hungry.
