Taste Perthshire (Bankfoot) 2022 : Review

Visit & Vibes

On my last drive to Dunkeld I spotted this on the way up…well a quick glance and thought I need to check it out next time I come back to Dunkeld.

Today I was heading back to Dunkeld and pulled in for a late lunch.

On arrival, there is a good-sized car park, and on entering there was a wee walk through the shop part of here.

The shop had clothes, drinks, cheeses etc etc etc loads of great items but for now, I was interested in the food as I was hungry.

The Food

The restaurant area was huge, and really nicely decorated.

There were too many people around and eating, or I would have taken a snap but do check their website or Instagram to see what it’s like…or even better take a visit.

North Sea Haddock Fillet £14.95
Breaded or battered, served with garden peas, chips, homemade tartare sauce and a wedge of lemon.

I had no idea what to order as there were a few items that sounded good, but I opted for this.

On arrival, this looked very nice, and a good sized portion. The aroma was good, and I couldn’t wait to dig in and taste it

I started with the peas and they were cooked perfectly and had a nice full flavour.

I tried the chips next and again they were cooked perfectly and didn’t require any salt.

Fish time…

The coating was lovely, and the fish was lovely and flaky and had a great taste. From start to finish I enjoyed every bite, and I found zero bones which is always a plus.

This was a great option as I really enjoyed my lunch and would have it again.

Final Thoughts…

I am glad I spotted here as I will be going back, and this time having a proper look in the shop and also trying some other dishes.

Have you been here? if not check them out.
