Todays Visit

The guys at Grillaz Drive-through sent me a wee ping, to see if I would like to come and check them out.

I was recently at the world buffet and spotted them and added them to my list, so this was a pleasant surprise.

The Food

I had a wee look at the menu before arriving so I knew what to order.

I was half tempted to eat tonight’s meal in my car, but I thought let’s head home and enjoy it on a comfy sofa.

I took my friend with me and he also got a burger, and I have to say it looked very good. I will try that one next visit as he said it was a really good burger.

Now on to what I ordered…

THE SOUTHERN KING
Battered chicken fillet served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato crispy onion and cheese

This looked very tasty and smelled very good and I was very very hungry so after a few snaps, I took a big bite.

The chicken was cooked perfectly, and very tender which was good and I liked the slightly crisp coating.

Flavour-wise this was really nice, and with the cheese and onions etc this was a very tasty burger.

I would easily have this again, and if you are a chicken burger fan you will really like this.

SALT & PEPPER CRISPY CHICKEN Loaded Fries
Straight cut chips topped with shredded chicken, cheese, crispy onions & grillaz sauce

I saw these on a lot of posts and stories so I had to get them and see how good they really were.

When I took the lid off this the smell hit me and wow this smelled so so so so good!!! if this tasted as good as it smelled then I was in for a great treat.

I tried the chicken at the top and it had a little of the sauce on it, WOW this was amazing! that sauce was a solid 10/10 for me and the chicken was nice and tender but had a great crispness to it.

I tried the chips on their own and they were just ok, but this is a dish that its to be eaten as a whole and mmmm I loved every bite…that sauce was super addictive.

I think if this sauce was on the chicken burger I had it would have lifted it to another level, but that’s just a personal thing.

Firstly a big thanks to Grillaz for the invite, this was a great experience and I loved the whole concept.

As always the above review is 100% honest, and not influenced in any way just because it was free.

I enjoyed the food tonight, the chicken burger was very nice but the salt and pepper crispy chicken won but due to that amazing sauce. I will try a beef burger next time as the one my friend ordered looked mega good.

I will be adding here to my top takeaway spots due to the food and the experience.
