Yip, I know I ordered this last visit, but it had Yip, I know I ordered this last visit, but it had been a while and it’s my favourite as it stands head and shoulders above the rest: the Crispy Kekda. It’s the undisputed favourite and an absolute standout starter. The star of the plate is the soft-shell crab, fried to a golden, shatteringly crisp perfection while retaining sweet, tender seafood richness inside. It’s boldly seasoned with a punchy kick of cracked black pepper and garlic that coats every bite, making it mega tasty. What elevates the dish from great to extraordinary, though, is the brilliant play on textures and accompanying flavours, the yellow pickled papaya and delicate fronds of samphire cut straight through the rich fried coating, delivering a snappy, refreshing acidity and a touch of aromatic fennel. If you only order one starter here, make it this one... it’s nearly impossible to beat! Celebrated a friend’s birthday at @swadishbyajaykumar and the food was top tier as always. HOT HONEY FRIED CHICKEN, CHEESE & SESAME LOADED FR HOT HONEY FRIED CHICKEN, CHEESE & SESAME LOADED FRIES AT @street_food_bistro #invite Opened up the next takeaway box to be greeted by another absolutely massive portion, this time, it was the Hot Honey Chicken, Cheese & Sesame Loaded Fries. After snapping some quick photos, I couldn’t wait any longer because the aroma was incredible. I made sure to get a perfect mix of the chicken, fries, and mayonnaise all in one bite, and let me tell you… it was deeply flavorful. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, lovely and tender, but the star here is the flavour combo. The chicken has a wonderful kick from the hot honey, while the creamy garlic mayonnaise balances out the heat brilliantly. A seriously fantastic pairing! This is a genuinely delicious, exceptionally tasty dish. It’s also very hearty and filling! I’d definitely recommend tackling it all by yourself only if you have a big appetite, otherwise, this is a perfect one for sharing! Now, I am a massive fan of loaded fries, especially when a place actually gets them right, and these did not disappoint. The second I flipped open the box, the aroma hit me straight away. You could smell every single element immediately, and the presentation had my mouth watering before I even picked up a fork! Taking a closer look, the foundation was spot on: fries cooked to absolute perfection with that ideal, satisfying crispness. They were generously topped with: 🥓 Crispy Bacon 🧀 Rich Melted Cheese 🧄 Creamy Garlic Mayo Every single layer worked in total harmony. No soggy chips, no skimpy toppings, just pure comfort food done right. Honestly, this was easily one of the best portions of loaded fries I’ve had in a long, long time. CLOUDY LEMONADE LIMBU PANI (Alcohol-Free) The presentation alone was really nice!. Served in a gorgeous ribbed glass with a beautifully crafted garnish, it felt way more like a high-end craft mocktail than a standard lemonade. Taste-wise? First up: The Signature Maple Burger. Aberdeen Angus Patty, Smoked Cheese, Smoked Streaky Bacon, Maple Caramelised Red Onions & Sriracha Mayo. From the description alone, my expectations were high, and it absolutely delivered. Taking that first bite, every single component hit at once. Pure, perfectly balanced flavour where nothing overpowered the rest. The sweet maple red onion against the gentle kick of the sriracha mayo was chef’s kiss! Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the Aberdeen Angus patty. We’ve all had those burger van experiences where cheap, thin patties are hidden under a mountain of toppings to mask the quality. This was the exact opposite. Thick, cooked to perfection, and packed with genuine, rich flavour. An insanely delicious, high-quality burger from start to finish. CHICKEN TIKKA MASSALLAM Kebabs cooked in a mild, flavoured sauce with fresh herbs and spices. The presentation was spot-on as always, served up in a traditional metal bowl packed with large, vibrant red pieces of tender chicken. The pilau rice was wonderfully fluffy, aromatic, and always a fav for me. The chicken chunks were super substantial and completely smothered in that rich, velvety sauce.
