Visit & Vibes

Tonight was the second Rum Club of the year, following an amazing launch event. I was super excited to attend.

This evening’s featured rum was Chairman’s Reserve. I’ve had it in the past, and to be honest, I’m sure I liked it, so I was looking forward to trying it again — and hopefully sampling some of their rums that I haven’t tried before.

The Event

Tonight we had a representative from Chairman’s Reserve Rum, and there were three glasses placed in front of everyone. One looked like a white rum, and the other two looked very similar, so I was keen and curious to find out what they were.

The rep gave us a great presentation, and the rums we tried were: Chairman’s Reserve White — which was really good. It was very smooth, and I’ve now added it to my Amazon wishlist, that’s how much I liked it! The second was Chairman’s Reserve Original, again very nice and one I really enjoyed tonight. The third was their Spiced Rum, which for me was just okay — the first two were definitely the winners so far.

It was time for a break before we got to try one more rum, and during this break, we got a little treat. We were given a roti! Prior to attending, we had to let them know if we wanted beef or chicken; I opted for chicken, and the portion size was very generous.

The roti was really tasty — I could easily have had another one, it was that good. The guys here really know what they’re doing, and I’m glad I’m finally getting to sample some of their cooking.

The final rum we tried was Chairman’s Reserve Legacy. This one was excellent, and to be honest, it became my favourite of the night, followed closely by the White Rum. I also added this one to my Amazon wishlist — that’s how much I enjoyed it!

Final Thoughts…

Overall, tonight’s event was another fantastic Rum Club. Everyone enjoyed themselves, everyone liked the rums, and we all had a great time. I can’t wait to see what rum we’re going to try at the next one!
