Visit & Vibes

I felt like a wee drive today to get an afternoon tea so I spotted this hotel and set my sat nav and headed there to check them out.

On arrival, the car park was nearly full so this was a good sign, I just hoped they had some space for me.

On entering the main lounge was full but they had some free tables in the bar area.

I entered the bar area and was shown a table.

The Food

I knew what I wanted before sitting down, and the waiter came over with the menu and left the menu. I told them what I wanted but he said he would be back and to check the menu.

Once I had ordered the afternoon tea came to my table, and the waitress noticed the table hadn’t been set up yet….she didn’t seem pleased! she then returned apologised, and set the table.

Now it was time to taste.

Indulge in a delicious Afternoon Tea while admiring the sweeping views of the Solway Firth in the Copperbeech Restaurant & Lounge at Hetland Hall Hotel.

The afternoon tea came with a wee cup of soup, this was a pea soup which was a nice touch and it was very very nice.

The presentation of the afternoon tea was nice, and it had a nice selection of sandwiches and cakes.

The sandwiches were very fresh and very tasty. There was a ham and rocket roll, a few egg mayo and a few tuna mayo.

The scone selection was one with currents and one without. These like everything so far was very fresh and very nice and I loved the cream and jam.

Now on to the cakes, they tasted just as good as they looked in the photos you see.

Everything was finished so that tells you how good this was, and it was great value for money.

Final Thoughts…

Overall today was a nice visit, if the table had been set prior to the afternoon tea arriving I would have given the service a higher mark.

The afternoon tea as I said was very tasty, and nicely presented and an amazing value for money.

If your ever in the area, book ahead and try the afternoon tea.
