Todays Visit

A friend told me about this place and said she really loved it here, so I added it to my to-visit list.

Today I decided to check it out as I love a wee drive to Callander, and love to visit every now and then.

On arrival, there is a big car park and a lovely wee walk to this part of the hotel.

I also spotted a peacock walking about just enjoying life and people-watching.

On arrival, they have a lovely garden area but it was a little cold today, so I opted to sit inside.

Inside is very cosy and had a really nice look and atmosphere.

The Food

I had no idea what to order but I decided to go with my gut and get the following.

I will mention I did order the starter and main but then I waited and waited and waited…I was starting to think they forgot the order or they were going to bring it all together which would be strange since it was a starter and then main.

Yip they brought everything at once…which would explain the delay…not sure why they did this but I didn’t mind.

Chicken liver Parfait with Sourdough Toast £10.50

On arrival along with my main, this looked very nice.

Since this was the starter I started with this.

I did all the spreading and then started eating.

Oh, this was very nice, the pate was not a heavy pate but had a nice flavour…not too strong and it worked very well with the sourdough and Chuckey.

I would 100% have this again!

Home-made 100% Beef Burger £14.95
Cheese, bacon, Pretzel bun & chips

Once I finished my starter I moved quickly on to this.

Visually this looked really good, and was HUGE!!

I took a massive bite and mm very nice.

The burger was nice and had a good flavour, it was thick but could have been a bit moister but that’s a personal preference.

The burger as a whole with the bacon and cheese etc was very nice and very filling.

I really liked the pretzel bun taste with the burger, I would love to see this on more burgers.

Visit Overall

I am very happy I have learned about it here and will be back probably when the weather is better so I can sit out the front.

Apart from getting both courses at the same time, everything was very nice, and the staff was very friendly.
