There’s a wide world of all things rum, from the history and culture to the rum makers of today. We invite you to join us as we dive in.

I used to go to a rum club, and really enjoyed learning about rums and it soon became a favourite drink….then it stopped and I tried to continue trying rums but that kinda fell away.

I spotted another blogger on my Instagram promoting this and it grabbed my attention right away, so I had to purchase and subscribe.

The Box

This is a great size, and looks great on arrival.

Inside you have your 3 rums to try, plus an information leaflet to tell you about each rum and its tasting notes.

The Contents

As I mentioned a moment ago you get 3 rums to try, and this was box 001 and these were the ones in this months box.

The Rums

Chairman’s Reserve Original Rum

The booklet said “stronger on the nose and warms the belly” so I thought lets start with this and see how it tasted.

At first sip wow strong and a slight burn, but after that really good and smooth.

I was told by the guys to add a little water to it, and it opened it up the flavour.

Admiral Rodney HMS Princessa Rum

The tasting notes for this one said “creamy with little burn” so I knew I would probably like this one more than the first.

Ohhh now this was much nicer for me than the first, as it was more smooth and I liked its flavour more.

I could have easily had lots more of this one hehe

Bounty Spiced Rum

The notes for this said “a lot more rummy than other spiced rums”

I love a good spiced rum, as I think its probably due to me having a sweet tooth and they are a little more sweeter on the palate.

Wow this had a kick, for me I found it a little strong but I did like the flavour…this is definitely a sipping rum due to its kick.

Its probably one I wouldn’t have again due to its kick, but as I said it did have a nice flavour.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Overall :

So my fav from this months box was the Admiral Rodney HMS Princessa Rum, I think it was mostly due to it being more smooth than the others.

This was a great box as I got to taste some rums that I might never have thought to try, and I cant wait to see whats in the next box as I took up the monthly subscription option.

If you like rum or fancy trying new rums then check them out!
