Today I visited The Danube, and after taking in all the views I built up an appetite and stopped at this restaurant.

On entering we were shown to a table near the window, so while eating we had a lovely view of the Danube river. The chairs and tables were a heavy dark wood, and there was a lot of pictures on the walls but for some reason, it worked and suited the style.
Today I was told I had to try a fish soup! yes, a soup and for those of you who are regular readers know I am not a soup person…for me its an older generation dish but…I said OK
The Food…
Starter

On arrival, it looked OK, well as much as a soup can look good for me.
Time to dig in and try it…
OK so it was nice, not an overpowering fish taste, to be honest, it was a nice blend of all the flavours. I just had to watch out for some bones, but I didn’t find any which was good and yes I did finish the soup.

Ovcija Kobasica Na Zaru 29,8 LEI (200 G)
I knew I had to order something else just in case I didn’t finish the soup, but I also had to think if I did I wouldn’t be too hungry so this is what I ordered.
So yes I did finish the soup and moved on to this, these were very nice and even nicer with some mustard. For me not as nice as Mici, but still very nice and I would have these again with a side of fries or something.

Overall
So I did what I aimed to do and try new food, and yes I enjoyed them. Would I get the soup again well you know me, not really a soup person so probably try another starter but!!! I am glad I tried it.
