Brewdog (Dundee, Scotland) 2021 : Review

The Visit

Visit : 29/08/2021

As you may have spotted on my Instagram, I am now doing LOADS more Scottish drives so I can see many places I have never seen before.

Today I opted for a Dundee visit, and by the time we arrived we were all hungry and started looking for a place to eat.

We spotted Brewdog and all of us know the one at the West End, so we we went in and asked for a table.

What I did notice was the menu was just Pizza and that was it, no burgers etc hmmm but that was ok Pizza and beer was a good combo…well non alcoholic beer for me.

The Food

VEGAN SPICY MEATY (VE) £9.95
Temple of Seitan strips, wild mushrooms, chilli flakes, fresh red chilli, smashed napoli tomatoes & vegan mozzarella

Yes you read that correct Vegan! as I was sharing my pizza today and they are vegan.

After slicing up the pizza so we had half each, it was time to dig in.

Visually this looked really nice, and smelled really nice.

Taste wise this was actually much nicer than I expected. It had a nice subtle kick, and the flavours all worked very well together. I don’t normally do vegan, but I could easily have this again.

My Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Overall :

After being a little disappointed the menu was limited, maybe due to the time of day or something else…I was very happy I tried this pizza.

We all had a nice lunch, and many laughs…it was a great time.

Padano Pizza & Pasta (Rutherglen, Glasgow) 2021 : Review

The Visit

Recently my mum retired and she was given many lovely gifts, and one was a voucher for here.

She decided to use it for a nice takeaway.

I didn’t even know here opened, but when I went down to collect I had a good look inside and as you can see it looks really nice.

The Food

I only review what I eat, but looking at what my parents got and what they said about it it was all very very positive.

This is what I ordered.

Romana Pizza £10
Tomato, mozzarella, capers, anchovies, and extra virgin olive oil. Vegan cheese available on request

Just look how good this looks YUMMM

Visually looked good and smelled really good, I have not had a Romana for a while so I was looking forward to this.

so so good! I loved all the flavours, and the base was the perfect thickness nice and thin just like the way it should be.

Mozza (West End, Glasgow) : Review

I have been to Mozza before, I was actually at their opening for the branch in the city centre and it was a great night.

Their pizza’s were really good, and I have been back a few times since it opened.

They recently opened this new branch in the West End of Glasgow, on Byres road and they invited me to come and try some pizza to take home and enjoy.

The Pizza’s

I ordered number 10 and 11 (without walnuts)

10. tomato sauce, mozzarella, goats cheese, spinach, caramelised onion, sun blushed tomatoes, extra virgin oil

Firstly how good do they look, instantly mega mouth-watering!!

The base was nice and thin, the crush was nice and fluffy and the whole flavour was really good.

I would easily have this one again, and I am giving it a solid 5/5

Rating: 5 out of 5.

11. mozzarella, gorgonzola, parma ham with fig, pear and white balsamic jam, rocket, crushed walnuts, extra virgin oil

This one sounded interesting so I thought lets order it, though I did ask for no walnuts as I am allergic to them.

The flavours that hit you as soon as you take a bite was just WOW, you could taste everything and it all worked perfectly together.

I loved the pear and white balsamic jam, this really lifted the flavours to the next level.

Firstly a big thank you to Mozza for making my Sunday night better with some Pizza.

I have always really enjoyed Mozza’s pizza’s and I have always put Mozza in my top 3 pizza places in Glasgow, and tonight’s pizza didn’t disappoint and were very very nice.

If you have never tried Mozza please do check them out, as I said they are in my top 3 pizza places in Glasgow when anyone asks me and every time I have visited its always been a great meal or great pizza.
