The weather was classic Scotland at first, cloudy with a bit of drizzle, but the sky totally cleared up into the most glorious day. ☀️ 6 hours and 38 minutes of pure Scottish bliss: ⛰️ 14. If you know me, you know two things about my daily If you know me, you know two things about my daily routine: I am fiercely loyal to my coffee, and I’ve never been a fan of green tea. The grassy, bitter profile just never did it for me. So when the wonderful, women-led team at @hojicha.lab gifted me a tin of their organic Hojicha Powder, I was intrigued, but I honestly didn't expect my mind to be changed... Am I glad it was! Unlike standard green teas, Hojicha is slow-roasted, which completely transforms the flavour. Instead of that bitter bite, roasting unlocks a wonderfully smooth, smoky-caramel profile with rich nutty and cocoa notes. I tried it both as a creamy latte and straight up with water. While both were delicious, one method completely blew me away and let those toasted notes shine in a way I didn't expect. Out of every green tea I’ve ever tasted, this is officially my #1. If you thought green tea wasn't for you, this one will completely shatter your expectations. Found my new favorite farm shop, and honestly, the Found my new favorite farm shop, and honestly, the views at @loch_levens_larder are just as good as the food! I am a massive fan of farm shops, so when I was invited to check this spot out, I jumped at the chance. Safe to say, it has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. Nestled right on the Loch Leven Heritage Trail in Kinross, it is the perfect location for a weekend day out. After browsing all the amazing local produce in the shop, it was time for some lunch. They have a spacious indoor dining area with massive windows, plus a huge outdoor seating area with incredible views of the scenery. The menu is excellent and very reasonably priced, but I couldn't resist ordering: Scotch Lamb & Mint Burger - Served on a toasted brioche bun with shredded lettuce, tomato, spiced pear chutney, and a generous side of thin-cut fries. I don't have lamb very often, but this was a total game-changer. The patty was perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and that mint and spiced pear chutney combo rounded everything off flawlessly. Pair that with perfectly crispy skinny fries (my absolute favourite), and it easily became one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! Whether you want to explore the great outdoors, stock up on artisanal goodies, or just treat yourself to an incredible meal, I highly recommend making a trip here. I'm already planning my next visit! Visited this hidden gem right on the Loch Leven Heritage Trail in Kinross. The shop is packed with local goodies, but the real star was lunch. I ordered the Scotch Lamb & Mint Burger with spiced pear chutney and skinny fries. If you’re a burger lover, you NEED to add this spot to your bucket list ASAP. 10/10, no crumbs left. 📍 Save this for your next weekend road trip! I’ve had @kitchencoosandewes on my massive to-visi I’ve had @kitchencoosandewes on my massive to-visit list for ages, and I finally got to tick it off! 🚜 The tour kicked off with a lovely welcome from the guides, who walked us through what to expect before showing us to our trailer The journey started with some fascinating insights into the farm's land and local wildlife before we headed off for the main event: meeting the coos! 🐂 Our guide was a wealth of knowledge, and the trailer stopped several times so the cattle could come right up close. Safe to say, it was the perfect opportunity for some incredible photos. To wrap up a perfect afternoon, we headed back to the starting point for a gorgeous spread of cakes and refreshments a perfect finish to an amazing day out. 🏔️ 5.5 hours, 2 Munros, and 1 massive appetite. A 🏔️ 5.5 hours, 2 Munros, and 1 massive appetite. After bagging my 12th and 13th Munros, there was only one thing on my mind: food. Fortunately, I was right near @bridgeoforchyhotel and popped into their cozy bar and restaurant area to refuel. Schiehallion Beer Battered Haddock (£19.00) Served with garden peas, tartar sauce, and a mountain of hand-cut chips. I’m usually a die-hard skinny fries fan, but these chunky chips completely won me over. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and full of flavour. As for the fish? Absolute perfection. The portion size was huge, the batter stayed beautifully light and crispy, and the fresh haddock flaked away perfectly at the touch of a fork. Paired with that tangy tartar sauce, it was exactly what I needed after a long day on the hills. I’m so glad I broke my usual habit of ordering a burger, this was a massive win.
