Cove Harbour, East Coast of Scotland VLOG

After my drive to Dunbar we continued on to The Cove Harbour, this was another stop that I heard a few people talk about so now it was time I took a visit.

Finally crossed this one off the bucket list! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳 Finally crossed this one off the bucket list! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨ @kingshouseglencoe

After eight years of dreaming about a stay here while exploring Scotland, I finally pulled into the car park, and let’s just say, it was worth the wait. From the warmest welcome at reception to that first glimpse of the room, the vibes were 10/10 from the start.

The Highlights:

The View: Waking up to a Glencoe backdrop is something I’ll never forget. 🏔️

The Comfort: A massive, cloud-like bed and total silence. I haven’t slept this well in ages. ☁️

The Fuel: A massive breakfast spread (yes, there was haggis!) enjoyed right by the window. ☕️

The room was spotless, the staff were lovely, and the whole experience was the perfect Scottish escape.

I’m keeping some of the best bits for later, though! Full blog review with all the details, photos, and my top tips is coming very soon.

I tried something different for lunch in Glencoe and I’m officially obsessed. Perfectly pan-fried with that delicate crunch and beautiful roasted peppers. It’s the perfect “keep-you-going” portion size for a day of exploring the Highlands! ⛰️⛰️
Would you swap your Fish & Chips for this? Let me know! 👇

8 years on the bucket list, finally ticked off. ✅

The Kingshouse Hotel did not disappoint. Waking up in the heart of Glencoe, fueling up on a proper Scottish B&B breakfast, and stepping straight out into the wild. From the misty peaks to the local deer stopping by for a hello, this weekend was a literal fever dream. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⛰️

Birthday celebrations done right! 🍕🎂 It was that Birthday celebrations done right! 🍕🎂

It was that time of year again, my birthday! My parents booked a table at Bella Vita, which is easily one of my favorite Italian restaurants. As usual, the team was incredibly kind and prepared several appetizers for us to kick things off. We tucked into a massive platter, their amazing meatballs, and macaroni and cheese squares, just to name a few.

Every single dish was packed with flavor, and we loved every bite. Just like always, those meatballs were the absolute winner for me!

The Main Event

After devouring all those incredible starters, I decided to stick with a personal favorite: the Diavolo Pizza (£13.00). I love ordering pizza here because if I can’t finish it, I know I’ve got the perfect leftovers to take home for later (or a cheeky breakfast the next day).

The Diavolo is a classic Margherita base topped with mildly spiced Italian pepperoni. The moment it hit the table, it looked stunning and the aroma was incredible. Even though I was already starting to feel full, I couldn't wait to dig in!

The Verdict

From the first bite to the last, it was cooked to perfection. It had a lovely thin, crispy base topped with pepperoni that was absolutely bursting with flavor. If you’re a pepperoni pizza fan, this is one you need to check out!

Birthday behavior at my absolute favorite spot! 🥂✨ Birthday behavior at my absolute favorite spot! 🥂✨

There was no doubt where we were heading for my birthday dinner, Bella Vita never misses! 🇮🇹 We started strong with a spread of dreams, that massive platter, their iconic Mac & Cheese squares, and the legendary meatballs (which, let’s be real, are the GOAT 🏆).

For the main event, I had to go with my ride-or-die, the Diavolo Pizza 🍕🔥. Think a perfect Margherita base with mildly spiced Italian pepperoni on a thin, crispy crust that is literal perfection.

What I ordered:

Starters: Italian Platter, Mac & Cheese Squares, & The Famous Meatballs

Main: Diavolo Pizza (£13.00) 🍕

Satisfying the sweet tooth at @dhamakaa_ek with a Satisfying the sweet tooth at @dhamakaa_ek with a side that honestly deserves its own spotlight.

The Mango Peswari Naan (£3.95) is a certified must-order if you’re like me and love a sweet twist with your savory meal.

Why it’s a winner:

Perfect Texture: The naan arrived warm, soft, and incredibly fluffy.

The Filling: It’s packed with a vibrant mango flavor that hits all the right sweet notes without being over the top.

Versatility: It paired perfectly with the main course, but it’s just as good to nibble on between dishes.

If you usually go for a standard peswari, this mango version is a game-changer. Definitely one for the fellow sweet-tooth foodies.

Stepping out of my comfort zone at @dhamakaa_ek pa Stepping out of my comfort zone at @dhamakaa_ek paid off big time tonight.

I usually stick to my "usuals," but the Honey Chilli Chicken (£6.25) was calling my name.

The Verdict:

First Impressions: The aroma hit the table before the plate did. It smelled incredible, sweet, sticky, and seriously inviting.

The Texture: The chicken was perfectly cooked, super tender on the inside with that essential crispy glaze on the outside.

The Heat: It’s got a signature kick, but it’s perfectly balanced. The spice doesn't mask the flavour; it actually makes that honey glaze pop.

If you’re looking to switch up your order, this is the one. Absolutely delicious from the first bite to the last.

Taking a detour from my usual order at @dhamakaa_e Taking a detour from my usual order at @dhamakaa_ek was the best decision I made all week.

The Sea Bass Koliwada (£14.95) is a total masterclass in Mumbai coastal flavours. If you’re a seafood lover, this one needs to be on your radar immediately.

The Breakdown:

The Vibe: It arrived looking incredible, served with a side of fluffy rice that soaked up every bit of zest.

The Senses: The aroma was the first thing to hit, a fragrant, complex blend of spices that made it nearly impossible to wait for a photo.

The Taste: Perfectly flaky, tender sea bass encased in a crunchy, spiced coating. It’s tangy, zesty, and elevates the delicate fish to a whole new level.

I’ve had sea bass all over, but this Koliwada preparation is officially my new favorite way to eat it. I honestly could have polished off a second portion.

Back at @dhamakaa_ek! There’s something about Gol Back at @dhamakaa_ek!

There’s something about Gol Gappe that hits differently every single time. If you know me, you know this was an automatic reorder from my last visit, I just couldn’t stay away!

Gol Gappe (£3.75)

These crispy semolina shells are basically little pockets of joy. They’re stuffed with spiced potatoes and chickpeas, then you drench them in that signature tangy, chilled tamarind water.

Why I keep coming back for more:

The Texture: You get that perfect crunch followed by the smooth, hearty filling.

The Flavour Profile: It’s a literal explosion of sweet, spicy, and sour in one single bite.

Consistency: Just like last time, the presentation was spot on and the taste was even better.

It’s one of those effortless dishes that just makes you happy. If you’ve never tried them, consider this your sign to finally give them a go, you won’t regret it!
