I was recently invited to check out Black Bear Coffee, so we set a lunch date. Since I hadn’t been to the area in a while, I was really looking forward to the visit.

I got lucky with a nice, sunny day and decided to sit outside at the benches. Inside, they offer a great variety of food, along with some delicious-looking sweet treats!

The Food

Chicken Tikka Mayo Toastie
With peppers & red onions.

For lunch today, I fancied a proper toastie as I hadn’t had one in ages, and their filling options all sounded so good! I eventually chose the Chicken Tikka Mayo with peppers & red onions.

When it arrived, it looked absolutely brilliant, served alongside a cappuccino that also looked spot on. I tried the cappuccino first, whatever beans they use, the taste was lovely and it really hit the spot.

Then it was time for the main event. I took a massive bite, and wow! The toast itself was toasted to absolute perfection, with a great crispness that added a wonderful texture to the filling.

The chicken tikka mayo was incredibly tasty and I enjoyed every single bite. The presentation was top notch too, from the lovely crockery to the fresh side salad. Highly recommended!

Overall, I had a really wonderful time visiting Black Bear Coffee.

Sitting outdoors on a sunny day was such a treat, and the food matched the vibe perfectly! My cappuccino was rich and flavourful, and the Chicken Tikka Mayo Toastie was crispy, generous, and packed with flavour. The presentation was top-notch, but what made the experience even better was the warm, friendly service from the staff.

It’s definitely a fantastic spot to grab lunch or brunch if you’re in the area, highly recommended!
