Todays Visit
Today I did a charity zip line event and wanted to go somewhere for something to eat after it.
It was a nice sunny day so I thought let’s head back to Luss and check The Village Rest out again.

The Food
I was very hungry so I thought I am having at least two courses.
Nachos topped with a spicy salsa sauce and mozzarella cheese £6.25

On arrival, this looked very nice and was a good-sized portion.
These were very nice, packed with flavor, and as I said it was a very good-sized portion.
Layering could have been better as the sauce made the nachos soft underneath, but I really enjoyed this.

Freshly backed Scottish Haddock £12.45
fresh haddock fillet fried in a crisp beer batter with fries, mushy peas and homemade tarter sauce

I really felt like fish and chips today, and I was glad to see it on the menu.
On arrival, this was a big portion and smelled very good.
I started with the chips, these were cooked perfectly and had a nice slight crispness to them.
The fish was also cooked perfectly and had zero bones which was good. The fish wasn’t too flaky and held together nicely.
With the tarter sauce, it just boosted an already really nice fish and chips.
I would happily have this again.

It was nice to be back and have a wee walk about Luss.
I enjoyed the meal again, and look forward to trying other dishes when I return.
