Tonight was a new restaurant for me, which I always love to find and try. Mora Bar & Kitchen has been on my list to visit for a while, but due to location time etc I never got round to it till now.

Looking Around

Inside had a very modern but relaxing atmosphere.

There are two areas for you to sit it, the first is a big long bench which is roughly in the middle of the restaurant, and the other is the table and chairs. Depending on what your after either a proper sit-down meal, or a snack or drink you have the choice.

Music wise…the music was at a perfect level. Everyone around could easily talk without shouting across the table from them, and as you know this is a massive issue for me if you have to do that but as I said tonight’s music was at a good level.

The Food…

Tonight I had two dishes, one was a side but had it as a starter and the other a main.

Chunky Polenta Chips £4.50

spicy tomato sugo, parmesan

As they say you eat with your eyes first, and I love a good presentation as I feel that always starts the ball rolling on how the rest of the meal will be.

I tried a chip making sure it was covered in the sauce etc and my mouth exploded with flavours and it was really good. I could have easily had two portions but I was being good and saving space for my pizza and maybe a dessert…

Main Course

Spianata Pizza £10.00

spicy calabrian salami, fennel seeds, mozzarella, tomato

So visually the pizza looked nice, but it looked like all the toppings were trying to escape to one side…now time to try.

The base was nice and thin, and the flavours were nice.

It’s not the best pizza I have had but it was an ok pizza, and I would go back to try more.

Tonight was a really nice night, I was here with my girlfriend and friends and we had a really nice meal and chat.

Food wise tonight, for me the starter was a clear winner and the pizza was just OK.

The atmosphere was very nice, not too noisy, very relaxing…very nice!

Would I come back to Mora Bar & Kitchen, yeah as I had a very nice night and I would try either another pizza or pasta but I would definable order the chips again.

Grazie guys and see you soon.
