Visit & Vibes
I have been to this restaurant a few times, sitting both inside and in their outdoor seating area, and every time I’ve had a really good experience. So, when I got this invite, I was very excited to go back and check them out again.
For me, this was about a one-hour drive since I live in Glasgow, but it was definitely worth it. Have a wee look at my other reviews for this place, and continue reading to see how today’s visit went!

The Food
| Set Menu Choice (Garden Party Menu) | ★★★★★ |
EACH PERSON MAY CHOOSE ANY GLASS OF WINE, BOTTLED BEER, OR COCKTAIL FROM OUR COCKTAIL MENU, PLUS ANY ONE STARTER & ONE MAIN COURSE.
SERVED WITH RICE & NAAN BREAD.

For today’s visit, we were given a set menu where you can choose any drink, plus one starter, one main, and a rice or naan bread.
The menu was really good. There were many different options to choose from, and I’m sure there is something for everyone, so it was time to make a hard decision and figure out what I was ordering tonight. I didn’t look at my previous reviews to see if I had ordered any of these before; I just wanted to go with whatever jumped out at me during tonight’s visit.

SABZI PAKORA
Deep fried balls of gram flour, mixed vegetable and a variety of spices.

For my starter, I decided to go for the Vegetable Pakora. When the plate arrived, the presentation was nice and appetizing and was a good portion size for a starter.
Taking the first bite, I found the pakora perfectly cooked. It offered a lovely, audible crispness to the batter, while the shredded vegetable interior remained tender.
As the photo shows, the pakora was freshly garnished with vibrant green coriander, adding a bright, herby freshness to every bite.
A nice surprise was that this version didn’t have any ‘kick’ to it; I know some restaurants like to add green chilies for spice, so it was good to enjoy the mellow, original flavour profile of the spiced gram flour and vegetables. Dipping the pakora into the accompanying dark, rich sauce really elevated the dish; I believe the sauce was tamarind, adding an essential sweet and tangy element.

CHICKEN TIKKA MASSALLAM
Kebabs cooked in a mild flavoured sauce with fresh herbs and spices.

Next up was the main course. While a few other dishes on the menu caught my eye, I ultimately decided to order the chicken tikka for this evening.
True to form, the presentation was neat and appetizing as it arrived at the table alongside a side of fragrant pilau rice.
As shown in my photos, the main dish was served in a generous traditional metal serving bowl packed with large, vibrant red pieces of chicken, alongside a plated portion showcasing the fluffy, aromatic grains of rice mixed with delicate cumin seeds.
Once plated up, it was time to dive in. The chicken tikka consisted of wonderfully substantial, tender chunks of meat smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce. Mixing those pieces of chicken and their sauce with the aromatic pilau rice created a fantastic combination. It was a really tasty, and hit the spot!

CLOUDY LEMONADE LIMBU PANI
ALCOHOL FREE

Since I was the designated driver tonight, I opted for a non-alcoholic beverage. While scanning the menu, I spotted an “Cloudy Lemonade” and decided to go for it.
To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever had a true cloudy lemonade before; my experience has always been with the standard, clear, fizzy-style lemonade. So, I thought, “Let’s try something different.” I’m glad I did.
When the drink arrived, the presentation was truly stunning. It arrived in a beautiful ribbed Collins glass with an nicely crafted garnish, making it look more like a premium mocktail than a simple lemonade.
Taking my first sip, I found it to be incredibly refreshing, balanced, and authentic. It had a nice citrus flavour and I am really glad I tried it tonight.
