Tonight was my first dinner in Verona, and I knew I wanted a great view and a lively atmosphere, plus I was craving pizza! I headed straight to the main square and picked out a restaurant.

The place and its neighbors were packed, which I took as a good sign. I managed to get a table with a fantastic view of Piazza Bra and really enjoyed the vibe. And sure enough, they served the exact kind of pizza I was looking for!

The Food

Tonight, I decided to go for a Quattro Formaggi pizza. It’s one of my absolute favourites, and I’ve always loved it whenever I’ve visited Italy in the past. Since I’m back, I just had to order it again.

When it arrived, it looked incredible and the aroma was amazing. That was the moment I knew this short break was going to be wonderful. I was back in Italy, I was back in Verona, and I was eating my favourite pizza.

Taking that first bite? Amazing. You could taste all the different cheeses, and the crust was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of all four cheeses.

I loved it so much that I even went back on my final night and ordered the exact same pizza from the same restaurant. The service was a bit slow, especially when asking for the bill, but it’s right on the main square and was packed, so you have to expect a little wait. Overall, I had a fantastic meal and I was a happy man again!

Along with my pizza, I ordered a cocktail called ‘Blue Sky.’ It was made with tequila, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup, and Blue Curaçao.

When it arrived, it was bright blue, just as expected. Taking a sip, it was absolutely delicious. I have a sweet tooth, so it really hit the spot, and it paired surprisingly well with my pizza. I loved just sipping on it, taking in the atmosphere, and people-watching.

Overall Assessment

Overall, the visit here was very good. As I mentioned, the service did get a bit slow when they were slammed, I think I waited about 25 minutes for my bill after asking for it. But given how busy they are right on the main square, you have to take that into account.

Foodwise, the pizza was amazing and the cocktail was fantastic. I definitely recommend checking it out. If you don’t mind a little bit of a wait, it’s totally worth it, and the staff were all very friendly.
