Visit & Vibes

For my first night’s meal, I looked up some hotspots on the Isle of Mull. A few stood out, but I also wanted to check out Calgary Beach that night, so I narrowed it down to three nearby locations and finally decided upon this one.

I had noticed they recommended booking a table ahead of time as it can get busy. Once I had finished my activities for the day, I got ready for dinner and headed to the beach before my meal.

Upon arrival, I found a large car park; on entering the restaurant, I was greeted and shown to my table.

Inverlussa mussels steamed in chardonnay, garlic & cream £19.50

For my first night’s meal, I looked up some hotspots on the Isle of Mull. A few stood out, but I also wanted to check out Calgary Beach that night, so I narrowed it down to three nearby locations and finally decided upon this one.

When the dish arrived, the portion was massive and the smell was incredible. I went for the Inverlussa mussels, and you could tell they were fresh. They were steamed in a Chardonnay, garlic, and cream base that was seasoned to perfection.

Even though the mussels were on the smaller side, they were tender, and the portion was so generous that I left feeling completely satisfied. It’s a must-try for seafood lovers in the area.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, tonight’s meal was nice; the atmosphere was inviting and the service was attentive.

I’m really glad I tried the mussels as they were incredibly tasty. However, if I were to return, I would likely try a different dish, mostly because of the small size of the mussels, even though the overall portion was very generous.
