Swadish (Merchant City, Glasgow) : Review

V: 3rd October 2020

With my appetite slowly returning, I decided to take a visit to one of my favorite restaurants Swadish.

I have been here a few times and tried their Heat & Eat, which if you havent check out here VIEW as at the time I am posting this there is a mini lockdown for restaurants so check it out for a great take away!!.

I have never had a bad meal here, everything has always been very tasty and extremely morish.

Todays Order

As I said I wasnt too hungry but I wanted to try and see what I could eat, as there were 3 dishes I wanted to try.

The Food

Crispy Kale Bhajis £4.50
Battered Kale, Onions, Gram Flour, Minted Yoghurt.

This is something I would have never ordered, but today I wanted to give it a try.

On arrival this looked very nice, and also the smell was really good to. I am glad I did order this as it was nice and crispy with an amazing taste, everything worked really well.

This was a really good dish, the sauce, kale, crispness was really really nice.

If like me this is something you would skip, don’t!! trust me you will really like this.

Main Course

Butter Chicken Naanwich £7.00
Finger licking chicken marinated in lemon, lots of butter and tangy spices, toped with a caramelised onions and spicy tomato salsa.

I follow Swadish on Instagram, and this popped up a few times and really tickled my tastebuds so I knew I had to order this when I visited.

On arrival this was a big portion, and visually looked really nice and the smell mmmm my mouth started to water.

The first bit through to the last bite were just perfect, the flavours of everything and the textures really it was a perfect mouthful every time.

This is something I would 100% order again.

Side

Poppadom Nachos £5.50

This sounded interesting, as I have never had or heard of Poppadom Nachos before so I had to order and see what it was like.

On arrival this looked really interesting, and I couldnt wait to dig in and try it.

WOW this was so good, it was a modern Indian take on a classic and it worked 100%. The sauces, the salsa and poppadoms worked really well together.

You need to order this!!!
