Yaya’s (St Enoch Centre, Glasgow) 2025 : Review

Visit & Vibes

I was recently invited to Yaya’s in St Enoch Centre, Glasgow, where on the 9th of August they’ll be celebrating two years since opening – and everyone’s invited to come along and check them out.

I’ve never been to one of these before, but I do love anything German Doner, so I couldn’t wait to see what they had to offer.

Inside, there are several tables and chairs, and a couple of self-service screens where you place your order. You then wait for it to be ready, collect it, and grab a seat – or you can take it away, which is really handy if you fancy wandering around town with a little munch.

The Food

Chicken Shawarma Hoagie Meal
All extras, with Peri Peri fries and a Can

I decided to go for the Chicken Shawarma Hoagie meal. I was asked if I wanted salad, sauce, etc., and I said, “Yeah, just go for it – everything!” For my side, I chose Peri Peri fries and a can of Coke.

I took a seat and waited for my order number to be called, then started unwrapping.

I began with the fries – they were really well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavour. Plus, the portion size was generous.

Next, I unwrapped the hoagie and took a few bites. The flavour was spot on. Everything was perfectly cooked, and you could taste each element on its own as well as how well they all worked together. It was seriously tasty.

Overall, this was a very satisfying meal, and I’m glad I finally checked them out. In terms of value for money, I thought it was great.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, tonight’s visit was really enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly, the service was fast, and the food was tasty – I enjoyed everything from start to finish.

As I mentioned, this location will be celebrating its second birthday on the 9th of August, and they’re planning a celebration for the day. So be sure to check them out either before then or on the day itself – and if you do visit, let me know what you ordered and what you thought in the comments!
