Visit & Vibes

I haven’t visited food trucks very often in the past, but when I have, I’ve always found them to be cheap and cheerful, nothing amazing or particularly great. So, when I got this invite, I accepted because I always love finding new places, trying new spots, and seeing if they might change my mind about my previous experiences regarding food or location.

Upon arrival, there is a massive car park. You simply pull up, walk right up to the van to place your order, and wait. Alternatively, as I noticed some other people doing, you can place an order online for collection, fill up your car, and wait until your name or order is called out.

Since I hadn’t pre-ordered, I pulled up and placed my order directly with the guys working today.

I really only went with the intention of ordering one item, I wanted to try one of their burgers. However, the guys were very generous and gave me quite a few extra things to try.

For today’s visit, I decided to take everything home so I could take some photos, relax, put the TV on, and enjoy my meal. The first item I started with was the burger.

This was a good-sized burger, and from its description, it sounded like it was going to be really good, so I couldn’t wait to take my first bite.

Taking that first bite, all the flavours came through instantly, none of them overpowered the others, and everything was really well balanced. The next thing I noticed was the burger patty itself; it was cooked perfectly to my liking, had a really nice flavor, and was a good thickness.

With previous burger vans I’ve tried, the burgers didn’t taste that great. You could tell they were very cheap patties that the vendors were trying to mask by piling on extra ingredients. But this burger was the total opposite. It tasted genuinely delicious, and combined with all the other ingredients, it turned out to be an extremely tasty burger. I enjoyed every single mouthful!

Crispy Bacon, Cheese, Garlic Mayo Loaded Fries

Next up was the loaded fries. I am a huge fan of loaded fries, especially when they are done right.

The moment I opened the box, the aroma and presentation were the first things that hit me. The smell was incredible, you could immediately pick up all the individual ingredients, and it made my mouth water even more.

Taking a closer look, the fries themselves were cooked to perfection with a great crispness. They were loaded with crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a rich garlic mayo, and everything came together brilliantly.

Every single ingredient worked in harmony, making this one of the nicest portions of loaded fries I’ve had in a long time. If you’re a loaded fries fan, this is definitely one you need to try, it was seriously good!

Hot Honey Fried Chicken, Cheese, Sesame Loaded Fries

I opened up the next takeaway box to be pleasantly surprised by another massive portion of loaded fries, this time, hot honey chicken and sesame loaded fries.

After snapping some photos, I couldn’t wait any longer because the aroma was incredible. I plated up a portion and took a bite, making sure I got a mix of the mayonnaise, the chicken, and the fries all at once. It was deeply flavorful and extremely filling. The chicken had a wonderful kick from the hot honey, while the garlic mayonnaise balanced out the heat brilliantly to create a fantastic flavor combination. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, lovely and tender.

As a whole, this was another exceptionally tasty dish. If you’re a loaded fries fan, you will love this, it is genuinely delicious. Because it is also very hearty and filling, I’d recommend either tackling it all by yourself if you have a big appetite, or sharing it alongside something smaller!

Fried Chicken Strips

These chicken strips hit the spot and delivered on every front.

From the moment you pick one up, the golden, textured coating gives a clear promise of an incredible crunch that doesn’t disappoint.

Beneath that perfectly crispy exterior, the chicken itself is remarkably juicy and tender. It makes for an all-around delicious treat that satisfies any craving for comfort food.

Final Thoughts…

Firstly, a big thanks to the guys for the invite! It was lovely talking to you, and I’m so glad to see you are kept extremely busy, that is always a fantastic sign.

Overall, this visit completely changed my mind about food trucks. This is one I would definitely go back to if I were in the area again, or if I fancied a short drive to pick up an order.

I have zero complaints about any of the dishes I received today, nor the service. However, as I mentioned earlier, I would recommend booking a collection slot ahead of time just in case they get really busy, as you could otherwise be in for a bit of a wait.
