Visit & Vibes

The Kraken Chippy is one of my local chippys, and I have ordered from them many times in the past but never reviewed them.

My grandpa was a big fan of their special fish here, and would probably order from here at least once a week.

I was the judge here when the takeaway awards were happening, and learned a lot of great things about here, like where they source the fish, etc and it was all very good.

Now it was time to come back and do a wee personal review.

The Takeaway

I have always liked their fish and chips and that’s exactly what I felt like tonight.

Single Fish Supper £7.50

The car drive home was filled with a great-smelling fish supper, and it was making me even more hungry.

Opening this when I got home the aroma hit me and was very good, the chips looked good and so did the fish.

Now it was time to sit down and enjoy.

I started with the chips and they were perfectly cooked and had a really nice flavour to them, I then tried the fish on its own and it was so good. The batter had a lovely light crispness to it, and the fish was lovely and flaky.

This was very very good and worked really well with tartar sauce.

Final Thoughts…

I enjoyed my fish supper and cant fault it in any way, the staff was friendly and the service was good.
