Little Italy Pizzeria (Byres Road, West End) 2024 : Review

Visit & Vibes

Today, I revisited Little Italy in Glasgow’s West End to catch up with friends.

It had been a while since my last visit, and despite the bustling atmosphere, we were fortunate to have a reserved table.

The Food

Penne 4 Cheese & Parma Ham £12.95
Creamy parmesan, gruyere, goats cheese and mozzarella sauce, topped with parmaham and chives

I’ve previously tried various dishes from this menu, but today, I decided to explore something new – the Penny for Cheese and Parma Ham Pasta.

Being a four-cheese enthusiast, I was intrigued to taste this dish. Despite the absence of intensely strong cheeses on the menu, I found the creamy four-cheese sauce delightful upon arrival.

The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the presentation, as well as the inviting aroma, added to the experience. While I couldn’t distinguish between the individual cheeses, their harmonious blend created a delicious flavour.

If you appreciate a cohesive taste, this dish is a winner, though those seeking distinct cheese profiles might find it less suitable. Additionally, the Parma Ham complemented the dish wonderfully with its delightful flavour.
