I was recently invited to the new Chicking branch in Clarkston. Upon arrival, the place was already busy with orders, which I always think is a good sign.

Although Chicking is primarily a takeaway, they do have two small tables inside; however, if I were you, I would either order ahead online or pop in to pick up a takeaway.

Chicken Tandoori Burger
with a side of Tandoori Fries

Once I placed my order, I was lucky enough to snag one of the few tables inside to sit down and enjoy my meal. After unwrapping my food and snapping a few photos, it was finally time to dive into the burger.

I started with the fries. I opted for the Tandoori fries instead of the regular ones to see how they measured up, and they didn’t disappoint. They were perfectly cooked and “skinny”, my absolute favourite style, and the Tandoori seasoning was incredible. There was no loose powder sprinkled on top, so I’m not entirely sure how they achieved that depth of flavour, but if you visit, you simply must try them!

Then, it was time for the main event: the burger. After unwrapping it, it looked promising, so I took a big bite. It was fantastic! The chicken was cooked to perfection, wonderfully crispy on the outside yet incredibly tender and juicy on the inside. The combination of the signature sauce, the fresh, crisp lettuce, and the soft, toasted bun created a perfect balance of textures and flavors that made every bite truly delicious.

Final Thoughts…

First of all, a big thanks to the guys for the invite! It was great to discover a new spot.

Overall, today’s visit was excellent; I found a great new takeaway place, and the burger and fries were delicious. If you’re in the area, or even just a short drive away, you should definitely check it out!
