Tonight, I visited Silverburn to catch the new Bollywood film, Tiger 3. As a fervent fan of Bollywood movies, especially this style, Tiger holds a special place in my heart alongside Salman Khan movies.

However, before diving into the cinematic experience, I needed a place to dine, and recalling that Bread Meets Bread recently opened in Silverburn, I decided to revisit.

Having enjoyed their offerings at various locations before, I was eager to give them another try. Interestingly, this spot used to house a pancake place that I fondly frequented. It’s a bit disappointing to see it go, as I had a soft spot for that restaurant. Nevertheless, tonight was all about Bread Meets Bread, so I stepped inside.

Upon a cursory glance, I noticed that not much had changed, aside from the menus and signage.

Now, the challenging task was to decide what to order, knowing that their burgers always deliver an exceptional experience. Whatever choice I made, I was confident it would be a delectable one.

The Food

Black & Blue £13.50
With blue cheese, grilled mushrooms, crispy bacon, slow onions & blue cheese mayo

Many, many, many of the burgers jumped out at me, and I had no idea what one to choose from, so I just randomly selected this one.

The black and blue burger with blue cheese, grilled mushrooms, crispy bacon, slow onions, and some blue cheese mayo. I love blue cheese, so I knew this was going to be amazing.

On arrival, as expected, visually this was a good-sized burger, and the aroma from it was absolutely amazing. My mouth started to water instantly. I took a massive bite, followed by another one, and my mouth was bursting with amazing blue cheese flavours.

The burger was super tender, mega, mega flavoured. The blue cheese mayo, perfect. Blue cheese and grilled mushrooms, perfect. Slow onions, perfect.

The only issue was the crispy bacon. It was a little chewy rather than crispy, so that was the only fault with the burger tonight. If it had been crispy, it would have been the perfect burger. Don’t get me wrong, it still is a really, really good burger.

Overall, an amazing burger, a solid five star, even with the non-crispy bacon, and I highly recommend it, and could easily have had another one. This was just so good.

Buffalo Fries £5.00
With Hot Buffalo sauce, blue cheese mayo & chives

In addition to my substantial burger, I opted for buffalo fries featuring hot buffalo sauce, a generous serving of delightful blue cheese dressing, and a sprinkle of chives.

Yes, more of that fantastic blue cheese flavor. In terms of portion size, it was suitable for one person; it’s not really intended for sharing.

The hot buffalo sauce undeniably adds a kick, but when paired with the soothing blue cheese dressing, it creates a delightful balance. The fries were impeccably cooked, contributing to an overall tasty side dish.

I’m pleased I gave it a try, though I can’t recall if I’ve had it before. If I have, I’m certain I enjoyed it then, but tonight it paired perfectly with that outstanding black and blue burger.

Final Thoughts…

In general, returning to Bread Meets Bread was a delightful experience.

It has consistently held a special place in my heart as one of the premier destinations for burgers, and tonight reaffirmed that status.

The burger I enjoyed was truly exceptional, and the accompanying side added a delightful kick to the overall experience.

Bread Meets Bread remains firmly on my list of top restaurants to visit page.
