The Visit
The guys at the Picture House asked if I would like to come and take a visit, and support my local.
I have only visited here maybe max twice in the past, so I was looking forward to heading back and checking it out.
The Food
I knew I would like to try a starter and a main, and if I had room a little dessert.
I placed my order and a few mins later I was told they didn’t have a few things, as they were very busy which is great to hear….but it made my decision harder.
After a few mins later I choose my alternatives.
Starter
Fish Tacos
Two charred tortillas stuffed with a freshly hand-battered fish goujon, pico de gallo, Frank’s RedHot® sauce, soured cream and shredded lettuce
Visually when this arrived on the table it looked really good, and I wasn’t expecting two….yes I know it said that in the description but I just glanced and choose it by its title.
I grabbed one and took a big bite…
The first thing that came to mind was the tomatoes needed to be under the lettuce to hold them in place, or to use half the amount as they just kept falling.
Apart from that this tasted really good!!! The flavours as a whole were good, the fish was cooked perfectly and the batter had a lovely crunch to it.

Korean Fried Chicken Burger
Freshly hand-battered mango & lime chicken thighs tossed in Korean BBQ sauce served with mango & chilli sauce
I wanted a burger tonight, but I felt like going for a chicken burger and this is what grabbed my attention.
WOW this was a big burger…
I started with the chips and these tasted great just as they are, they didnt need any salt or anything extra. I then dripped one in the dip and WOW this was such a great tasting dip.
I then took a BIG bite of the burger and again WOW the flavour was so so good!
The chicken was nice and tender, and packed with flavour and as a whole bite it was a REALLY nice burger. I then added some of the dip and it just took it to the next level, so so good!

Overall :
Firstly a big thanks to the guys at the Picture House for my invite.
I was very happy with tonight, I felt very relaxed from the moment I arrived to when I left.
To be honest I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was tonight, as last time it was just OK but tonight REALLY very tasty.
If your in the area then do check it out, and if you stay local why not support your local and visit….I promise you that you will have a very tasty meal.
