£60 inc delivery (4 course menu and a bottle of wine for two)⠀

The delivery

As you can see its a massive box, and extremely well laid out, great presentation and probably the best home delivery you will ever see as I can’t fault anything about it.

What I got in the box : ⠀

  • Menu⠀
  • Cooking “Bangkok” cooking instructions booklet⠀
  • Your starter, main, sides and dessert⠀

Obviously, depending on the month the style of food will be different but this month was Bangkok.⠀

Starter

Tom Yum Soup

I have never had Tom Yum Soup before, so I was looking forward to try this.⠀

I opened my cooking guide book and followed the instructions, as this was heating up the smell was amazing and my mouth started to water.

After the given time, and a few tastes to see if it was warm enough I poured it into a bowl and sat down to enjoy my soup.⠀

This was sooo good and I am not just saying that the flavour was really nice and it had a small kick. I could have easily had more of this, and could easily have this on a regular basis and that’s saying something as I am not really a soup fan but this was soo good.

Main course

Panang Chicken Curry

To start with for this one, I had to remove the chicken from the container and place in the oven. Once that was nearly ready, to start preparing the sauce and vegetables….and sides (next Instagram post for the sides)

The smell from the chicken cooking and then the sauce was really good, my mouth was watering and I was wishing the timer would hurry up and finish.

The pressure was on, as I wanted to plate this up and make it look as good as I could as it was really quality food, mega tasty and I wanted to make sure I did it justice.

Plated up, photos taken….time to dig in.⠀

The sauce with the vegetables, chicken or combination of both wow!!! I was very impressed with this, and finished everything again just like the starter I could have easily had seconds!!!

The Sides

Steamed Jasmine Rice

This was super easy to cook, a quick 2 to 3 minutes in the microwave and done.

I tried this on its own to start with and it was very soft and had a great flavour, and mixed with the main course sauce or chicken etc all the flavours worked extremely well.

Crispy Pork Pad Thai

The guide book said “it’s intended to be enjoyed cold” so U plated it up as nice as I could and put it aside till everything else was ready.

This was very nice, for me it needed the pork to add a little more flavour…but that’s a personal preference. Mixed with everything else, again very nice.

Desert :

Coconut & Cardamon Rice Pudding
with optional Salted bean curd caramel and exotic fruit compote⠀

I was starting to feel very full, but I had one more dish to prepare and taste.

This sounded very nice, with and without the optional ingredients. For me, I knew once the rice pudding was about ready I would add the caramel into the rice and mix, as I have a sweet tooth and this would make it extra nice for my personal taste.

WOW! perfection! bursting with flavour and very nice! I then added a little of the fruit compote and took a bite…again this worked very well with the way I had prepared this.

I finished it all.⠀

The wine and cheese

The Cheese: Landana 500 : pineapple & nigella chutney with water crackers⠀

The Wine: Le Sentier Blanc 2018 (Gascony, France)⠀

Now, who doesn’t love some cheese and wine? we all do….I actually didn’t have this when my Home By Nice arrived I saved it for the next night as I was so full from my amazing 3-course meal.⠀

This was a nice little extra and added to the meal, the wine was very nice….very light and worked really well with the cheese and crackers.

Keep watching my posts for my pics for every part of my Home by Nice experience.⠀

Overall :

Note : Just because this was gifted, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of the delivery and food.

Firstly a big thanks to Home by Nico for letting me have a restaurant dinning experience in my own home.

Secondly this was really professional, from the delivery, the layout of the box to how easy it was to make all the food.

I highly recommend this!!! and I cant fault any part of it. Service was top, presentation was top and the food was very high quality and mega tasty.
