Romanian Memories 🇷🇴 I was recently near @transyl Romanian Memories 🇷🇴

I was recently near @transylvaniashop and just had to pop in. While browsing, I had one mission: see if they sold Mici (those incredible, traditional Romanian grilled minced meat rolls made from pork, beef, and lamb).

Having visited Romania many times, I still vividly remember trying Mici for the first time in Craiova and Bucharest and absolutely falling in love with them. And guess what? Yes, they had them! Woohoo! 🙌

Now, the absolute best way to cook these is on a BBQ, but I used my oven this time and they still turned out so juicy and nice. To do it the traditional way, you have to serve them with:
💛 Yellow mustard
🥖 Crusty white bread
🍺 A nice, ice-cold beer

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on Mici for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally did today. It brought back a flood of amazing Romanian memories.

To top off the ultimate nostalgic meal, I finished it with a drink of Țuică, that potent, traditional Romanian plum spirit (which I also grabbed from @transylvaniashop!). One sip and I was instantly transported back to my trips.

If you haven't tried Mici or Țuică yet and this sounds right up your street, head over to @transylvaniashop and grab some!

👇 Let me know in the comments if you've ever tried Romanian food!

The wait is officially over! After missing out las The wait is officially over! After missing out last time, I finally made it back to the Isle of Mull and stepped inside the stunning glass interior of The Glass Barn @isle_of_mull_cheese.

I ordered the Isle of Mull Cheese Toastie (£9.50), which comes oozing with their famous tangy Farmhouse cheese, a side of homemade chutney, and a dressed salad. Naturally, I opted to add the Island Pork Ham (+£2.00) to make it meaty—and let me tell you, it was completely worth it.

When the food arrived, it looked incredible and the portion was absolutely huge. From the very first bite, I was so impressed. The toastie was lovely and soft in the centre with just the right amount of crispness on the outside. The cheese had a fantastic, robust flavour and the pork was gorgeous. The entire dish was delicious from start to finish!

Visited Ambala @ambalafoods for the very first tim Visited Ambala @ambalafoods for the very first time recently, and I’m so glad I marked my calendar for this one! After receiving a notification about their special event offering a free box of sweets and a slice of cake, I immediately added it to my diary. I’ve heard so many amazing things about this place over the years, and it completely lived up to the hype!

First of all, can we talk about the packaging? The presentation here is top-tier. The contrast between the sleek, beautifully branded Egg Free Cake Box and the traditionally ornate, gold-detailed Ambala boxes makes opening them feel like unwrapping a luxury gift. It’s elegant, clean, and absolutely perfect for gifting (or just treating yourself!).

Everything was incredibly tasty, but the slice from Cake Box was nothing short of exceptional! It was impossibly light, wonderfully fluffy, and packed with a lovely, delicate flavour that wasn't overpowering. Layered with a gorgeous fruity filling and topped with perfect swirls of pink and yellow cream, it’s a masterclass in texture.

The traditional sweet boxes were had a wonderful variety of colourful treats. While I was there, I also made sure to purchase a chocolate and mango Barfi

Chocolate Barfi (Absolute Favourite!): This was a massive standout for me. Rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet, if you love chocolate and traditional textures, this is a must-buy…..definitely one I would get again!

Mango Barfi : Bright, vibrant, and bursting with a nice subtle mango flavour.

Pistachio Barfi : A gorgeous, dense green square loaded with real pistachio pieces that gave it a lovely nutty depth.

Motichoor Ladoo : That classic, melt-in-your-mouth orange sweet that was perfectly moist and delicious.

Peda / Milk Sweets : Soft, beautifully textured, and rich in that deep, caramelized milk flavour.

If you haven't been to Ambala yet, consider this your sign to go. Between the flawless presentation, the rich traditional sweets, and that unbelievably light cake, I am officially a fan. I will definitely be back for more!

Second time’s a charm! ✨ Two years ago, I made the Second time’s a charm! ✨ Two years ago, I made the trip to the Isle of Mull only to find The Glass Barn closed. Safe to say, I’ve been waiting for this rematch ever since, and it did not disappoint.

The interior at @isle_of_mull_cheese is truly stunning. The glass design is amazing, offering a fantastic view of the greenery while you eat. I was absolutely thrilled to finally sit down and enjoy some lunch.

Speaking of lunch... let’s talk about the Summer House Raspberry Lemonade (£3.05).

Honestly? I didn’t expect much from it, but that first sip completely changed my mind. It was absolutely delicious! The raspberry flavour was vibrant but not at all overpowering, and the whole drink was perfectly balanced. I could easily have had several more!

I highly recommend trying it if you’re a raspberry fan. (They have other flavours too, so if raspberry isn't your thing, definitely try one of those!)

The small Baklava specifically were mega addictive. Seriously, I need another batch immediately! Can't wait to get more.

Samosa heaven! Popped into the Food 2 Go area at Samosa heaven!

Popped into the Food 2 Go area at Food Asia Hypermarket @foodasiascotland in Glasgow during my last visit and couldn’t resist grabbing three different types of samosas.

I love how they color-code them so you know exactly what you’re getting:
🔴 Red tip = Lamb
🟢 Green tip = Chicken
⚪️ No tip = Vegetable

All three were really tasty and so moreish, but the lamb and chicken were definitely my personal favorites! If you’re looking for a quick, delicious snack while you shop, these are a must-buy.

There is always room for dessert! 🍫💨 The last tim There is always room for dessert! 🍫💨

The last time I was at @elsantoglasgow, I tried the El Santo Chocolate Cigar, and I knew that no matter how good the other options looked, I had to have it again.

The presentation is just fantastic. They bring a box to the table and slowly open the lid, allowing the dry ice smoke to billow out to give the illusion of a lit cigar. It’s so well thought out, impressive without being too cheesy!

The dessert itself is incredible:
🍫 Crisp chocolate 'cigar' shell
💛 Soft passion fruit mousse center

Biting into it, you get that perfect balance of chocolate and fruit. The two textures work so well together! I have a major sweet tooth, so I honestly could have ordered another one.

If you love dessert and appreciate great presentation, you have to try this. You will love it!

New find from @foodasiascotland! Glasgow for me an New find from @foodasiascotland! Glasgow for me anyway...

Found these Sunfeast Dark Fantasy biscuits and had to grab them, partly because I’m a sugar addict, but also because of Shah Rukh Khan on the box!

Expectation: Total gooey lava centre.

Reality: More of a chocolate biscuit vibe, but still delicious and very easy to work your way through the whole box.

Highly recommend for a quick snack!....I dont think these will last long in my house.
