Fratelli’s (Cambuslang, Glasgow) takeaway via FoodHub : Review

GIFTED

The guys over at FoodHub gifted me with a wee voucher to order a meal and again check out their app.

The app is just like your other takeaway ordering apps, see my other review here

I wanted to try another place I have not used for a while, so I opted for Italian tonight.

The Food

I have ordered a takeaway from here a good few years ago, and enjoyed it at that point and as I said I felt like an Italian tonight so thought would check them out again.

Drink

187ml Pinot Grigio White £3.25

I am not a big wine drinker, it is an area I would like to learn more about so I cant go into loads of details about this.

For me this was very nice, light and worked perfect with my meal tonight.

Main Course :

Spaghetti Carbonara £7.80

Carbonara can be done two ways, the good way and the bad way with cream….this I was very happy to see was done the good way.

This was really good! the flavour and everything about it was really nice.

It was a massive portion, as I ate 2/3’s of the portion as it was very filling.

I would have this again.

Desert :

Biscoff Cheesecake £4.95

My eyes are always bigger than my belly….as the saying goes….and I had to check out this cake as Biscoff anything is ALWAYS really nice.

So after my Carbonara I waited a while till I wasnt feeling as full, and started to eat this.

This was really nice, I liked the flavour and texture.

So I had to order a cheesecake or two, and while I was at it a random choice of sweets as I needed a sweet tooth fix tonight.

The sweets

 Reece’s Belgian Waffle

I have only recently found out that I am not allergic to peanuts, and now have a wee addiction to anything Reece’s so when I saw this I had to order it.

On opening the packaging the smell was soo good, and visually mmm so much so my mouth started to water.

Regular Oreo Cookie Sundee

Another fav of mine are Oreo’s and when I saw they did this, I had to place an order and see what it was like.

I dug right into this as soon as I took the photo, the crunchiness of the Oreo’s, the ice-cream, the sauces mmmmm a perfect combo.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Terry’s Orange Cookie Dough

Two of my favs coming together, Terrys orange and cookie dough surely this couldnt fail?

I could have had many many many more servings of this, as it was just so so good.

I will be getting this again soon!!

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Churros with Chocolate Sauce

This always reminds me of going to a Christmas market, as this is something I tend to get as the smell always pulls me in.

These were just as you would expect, slightly crunchy, sugary, soft centre and very mmm

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Regular Bounty Milkshake

I saw this and thought why not, lets see what its like.

I love bounty bars, so I thought this should be just like them?

I was a little disappointed as it didn’t have a great Bounty flavour, just a subtle one but it was still nice.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Chocolate Fudge Cake

I have not had chocolate fudge cake in ages, I dont know why as there was a period where this is all I would get.

This nice and warm with cream was so good, and I remembered why I loved getting this so much.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Strawberry Cheesecake

I had to order a cheesecake so I did and this is what I got.

You cant go wrong with a strawberry cheesecake, thats all I can say as its just so nice 🙂

FoodHub order at Tandoori Knights (Cambuslang, Glasgow) : Review

Gifted

The guys over at Foodhub.co.uk sent me £25 to have a wee treat and check out their app again.

As it’s was World Sandwich Day (November 3rd), FoodHub recently conducted a survey and found that Brits have named the BURGER as their favourite sandwich, followed closely behind by the classic ham and cheese. I know there’s some debate as to whether a burger classes as a sandwich, but the definition of a sandwich is ‘a food typically consisting of vegetables, sliced cheese or meat, placed on or between slices of bread’ – so the burger fits the bill!

So I had to order a burger tonight, and a BIG one I did.

The Food

2pcs Vegetable Samosa £ 2.95

I started with these, normally not a big Samosa fan but I thought let’s go for a lot of different things than I would normally and have a different treat.

These were very nice, they had a wee kick to them and a great flavour…plus these were very big I was scared I was going to get full on just these…..but nope I continued on.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Stuffed Jalapenos £ 3.95

Not something I would normally get, but thats a good thing as its always good to try new things….though I think I had something like these in a restaurant but it was ages ago.

I took a bite on its own, and mmm I was expecting the Jalapeños to hit me hard but mmm mixed with cheese it was a perfect bit. I then dipped it in the sauce and yeah it was nice, but on its own was much better for me.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Chilli Cheese Nuggets £ 3.95

After the stuffed Jalapeños I moved on to these, as these sounded very nice and a perfect follow up.

I took a bit….oh wow nice and soft, creamy and mmm I personally wouldn’t say I felt a kick was more just a nice flavour.

Again these were super addictive.⠀

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Sky Scrapper Burger £5.95⠀

This was a double burger, with cheese, Donner meat, sauce and some salad….as you can see it was just a small burger…NOT it was MASSIVE!!! I was scared of this as thought “how am I going to finish this”

This was a nice burger, it was your normal take away burgers but combined with everything it was very very good.

I did finish it but I did need a rest before I moved on to everything else….diet starts tomorrow.⠀

Rating: 4 out of 5.

2 Scoops Hot Cookie Dough £5.95

As you all know by now I have a sweet tooth, and I love cookie dough!!! So when I saw this on the menu I had to order and add a few wee extra’s….it would be rude not to.

YUM! YUM! YUM! Sweet, warm, gooey and mmmm you can’t go wrong with something like this…it was perfect.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Mix Regular Tango Ice Blast £3.60⠀

I used to get these when I was younger at the cinema, and not had one in ages….well the last time I ordered from Tandoori Knights I got one…so wasn’t that long ago…but prior to that it was ages.

What can you say, yummy, cool, great flavour and so nice to drink.⠀

These are mega addictive and you could easily have loads one after the other…..well as long as you don’t drink to fast and get brain freeze.
