Homemade Sweet Popcorn : Recipe

If you have tried my buttery popcorn recipe, then you will love this as they are a perfect texture and not too sweet but super morish.

You may find at the bottom of your pot some are burnt due to the sugar, don’t worry the more you keep the pot moving the less this will happen.

Ingredients

  • popcorn kernels (handful)
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 3 tbsp white sugar

Method

  1. Don’t start your hob yet, keeping the pan cool will give you the best result for popcorn.
  2. Pour in your oil and add your sugar
  3. Now mix the sugar into the oil so it dissolves and created a liquid
  4. Now put your kernels in your pan
  5. Give your pot a good shake making sure every kernel is coated in the sugary oil.
  6. Turn your hob on to a high temperature
  7. Now place the pan on the hob for a few mins, then lift and give a good shake to keep the kernels coated. Keep repeating this step till the first one pops.
  8. Once the first one has popped repeat placing it on the hob and lifting and shaking till the very last pop.
  9. Pour in to a bowl or one of these funky retro popcorn contains like I do

Garlic Butter Soya Fried Rice : Recipe

This is great for any left over rice, or you can do what I did just make some fresh and follow the instructions.

Ingredients

Method

  • First chop yo the garlic cloves into think slices
  • On a medium heat add 2 tbsp of butter or if you used a block a nice slice of butter
  • Once the butter starts to bubble a little add your chopped garlic
  • Mix well and coat the garlic slices in butter till you get a lovely smell and the garlic is a golden colour
  • Now add your rice and mix again
  • Add 1 more tbsp of butter and 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • Mix everything in
  • Once it looks ready put it all in to your bowl
  • For extra flavour feel free to add one more 1/2 tbsp butter and 1/2 tbsp soya once its platted up

Buttery Soya Homemade Popcorn : Recipe

Here is a great twist on my butter popcorn recipe, which just like the original recipe this is also mega addictive.

Ingredients

  • popcorn kernels (handful)
  • butter 6 tbsp.
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1.5 tablespoon Hamadaya soy sauce

Method

  1. Don’t stand your hob yet, keeping the pan cool will give you the best result for popcorn.
  2. Melt your butter 3tbsp till its like a sauce
  3. Now put your kernels in your pan, and add your melted butter
  4. Give your pot a good shake making sure every kernel is coated in the butter.
  5. Turn your hob on to a high temperature
  6. Now place the pan on the hob for a few mins, then lift and give a good shake to keep the kernels coated. Keep repeating this step till the first one pops.
  7. Once the first one has popped put the lid on the pan and repeat placing it on the hob and lifting and shaking till the very last pop.

The Sauce

  • While they are getting ready to pop, in a bowl melt the butter 3tbsp and coconut oil
  • Once its melted mix in the Soya sauce well
  • Now that the popcorn has popped, pour the soya mixture over them and toss well to cover
  • Pour in to a bowl or one of these funky retro popcorn contains like I do
