“PAWS” & BRUNCH TO BE HELD FOR THIRD TIME AT EL SANTO

Sociable doggy friendly event is proving popular with Glasgow’s dog loving community

It’s back for a third time!  El Santo Latin American Restaurant in Miller Steet, Glasgow, is once again laying on its weekend Paws & Brunch event for dog lovers everywhere!

Partnering with Sir Woofchester, a company specialising in canine hospitality, the next Paws & Brunch event will take place at El Santo on Saturday, the 18th of July, from 12 noon to 3pm.

All dogs attending will receive a canine afternoon tea, consisting of an iced pupcake, bark bangers, a Paw Star Martini and a Woof Bar. El Santo will provide blankets, water bowls, toys and a comfortable environment for dogs to relax throughout the event – so that their loving owners can fully relax too.

They can enjoy three dishes from El Santos Latin inspired tapas menu, plus a glass of Prosecco on arrival, or a soft drink alternative. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture the event for owners, as a lasting memento of the day.

Dog lover and El Santo Events Coordinator, Vira Romashova, who is behind the innovative event, said she was thrilled to see the event on to its third date: “We are really starting to build a following for this concept, with some customers coming back for a third time, as they have met and bonded with other dog lovers at the previous two brunches.”

“I came up with this concept because I know from personal experience that sometimes dog owners, and their dogs, find it difficult to fully relax when they are out socially. Sometimes it’s the dog that doesn’t settle in the environment, stressing out the owner,” added Vira, who, along with working in events, has looked after dogs professionally for nine years.

“It struck me that when I joined El Santo, I could create an event that was designed specifically for both people and dogs together. Rather than simply allowing dogs, Paws & Brunch is built entirely around them. We allocate a dedicated space in the restaurant to them. It really helps the dogs settle, and they have room to play with their favourite toys.”

“Anyone is welcome to attend Paws& Brunch though, you don’t to bring a dog with you. We also welcome children, so it can be a real family affair.”

Vira thanked Sir Woofchester for partnering El Santo in the event.

“They are a brilliant company to partner with, as their doggy products are delicious, with even the fussiest pooches loving them.”

She finished by saying that Worq Hospitality, El Santo’s parent company, was very much a dog friendly business.

“Our Managing Director, Jonathan, has a very friendly British bulldog, named El Santo, that he’s been bringing into the office for ages. He’s our office mascot!”

“So loving dogs is at the heart of these events which we want to make a permanent fixture on the vibrant El Santo events calendar. We would love your four legged friend to become part of our growing doggy community!”
