If you had told me last week that I’d successfully If you had told me last week that I’d successfully bake an artisan loaf of sourdough from scratch, I would’ve laughed!

I’ve never made bread in my life. The whole process, the wild yeast, the fermentation, the shaping, always felt way too intimidating for a complete beginner. But sometimes, you just need a fun weekend challenge!

It all started when I was gifted the San Francisco Sourdough Starter from @DoughDoughAtHome (huge thank you!). I decided to play it safe and follow their Simple Sourdough White Loaf Recipe strictly step-by-step. No shortcuts, no improvising, just 100% adherence to the guide.

Because I double-checked every step and spent way too long staring at dough wondering if it looked right, it took me much longer than an experienced baker... but the payoff? UNREAL.

When I pulled it out of the oven, I was in shock, it actually looked like a real artisan loaf!

The smell alone had the whole house smelling like a cozy bakery.

Gifted | Unpopular opinion: I’ve never been a matc Gifted | Unpopular opinion: I’ve never been a matcha fan... until now!

I’ve tried a @teajoy_drinks Bubble Tea Kit recently but without the matcha (see my other post), but when they gifted me their DIY Bubble Tea at Home kit, I decided to take on the challenge and try the Matcha with Mango Boba!

Following the instructions, I mixed up the milk, matcha powder, and sweet mango boba. After snapping a few pics, it was time for the moment of truth...

I was honestly so pleasantly surprised! In the past, I’ve found matcha way too overpowering, which completely put me off. But this blend was incredibly well-balanced, refreshing, and genuinely delicious. Safe to say, I’d 100% order this combo again!

As a huge bubble tea fan, I’m always looking for w As a huge bubble tea fan, I’m always looking for ways to recreate my favourite drinks at home without running to a shop every time a craving hits! So, when @teajoy_drinks kindly gifted me their Bubble Tea Kit, I couldn’t wait to dive in!

First off, the packaging is super colorful, fun, and well-organized. Inside the box, you get everything you need for 4 fresh bubble teas:
🍓 Fruit Tea Syrup Packets (including Strawberry)
🥭 Popping Boba Packets (Strawberry & Mango)
🍵 Matcha Powder Packets
🥤 Chunky Straws made specifically for boba!

Full disclosure: I’m not usually a big matcha fan, so for my first drink, I skipped the matcha to customize it to my own taste. I went straight for a double-strawberry combo: Strawberry Tea Syrup + Strawberry Popping Boba!

Making it was so quick and easy, just mix the syrup with water, pour over ice, and add your boba.

The result? Absolutely delicious! The strawberry fruit tea was crisp, sweet, and incredibly refreshing. But the real star was the popping boba, each pearl had that perfect, satisfying snap with a burst of juicy flavour in every sip!

Keep watching my feed, I still have the Mango boba to try, so that post is coming soon!

Day-tripping perfection to Italy’s food capital! Day-tripping perfection to Italy’s food capital!

Traded Verona for the porticos and medieval towers of Bologna today, and it completely stole my heart.

I wandered the gorgeous, lively streets, took in all the historic sights, and made the ultimate pilgrimage to Mò Mortadella Lab for the best sandwich of my life 🥖🤤 (seriously, life-changing!).

There is nothing quite like just walking these beautiful streets and soaking up the buzzing Italian atmosphere. 🇮🇹❤️

Invited to check out @blackbearcoffeeuk recently, Invited to check out @blackbearcoffeeuk recently, so naturally, a lunch date was set! It’d been a minute since I was last in the area, so I was really looking forward to dropping in.

• Chicken Tikka Mayo Toastie (with peppers & red onions)
• Hot Cappuccino

I’ve been craving a proper toastie for ages, and their menu made choosing almost impossible! When everything arrived, the presentation was top-notch, served on lovely crockery with a fresh side salad.

First sip of the cappuccino: incredible. Whatever beans they’re using, it was smooth, rich, and hit the absolute spot.

Then for the main event, took a massive bite and WOW. Toasted to absolute crisp perfection with an amazing crunch, packed with flavor, and ridiculously tasty. Enjoyed every single bite from start to finish!

History, ruins, and way too much pizza 🍕✨ Spent the most magical few days soaking up all the charm Verona has to offer.

From wandering the historic streets and catching Notre Dame de Paris inside the jaw-dropping Verona Arena (bucket list moment!) to fueling up on endless slices of pizza, pasta and cocktails 🍹🇮🇹, this trip was an absolute dream.

Until next time, Italy! 🇮🇹❤️

Stumbled upon a sweet little slice of the Amalfi C Stumbled upon a sweet little slice of the Amalfi Coast right in the heart of Bologna! 🇮🇹

While exploring the city on a gorgeous sunny day, I only planned for a quick drink and a croissant. But then I spotted Il Duca D'Amalfi—and my plans changed instantly when I saw the menu.

I ended up ordering their MASSIVE Cannolo Siciliano paired with a Limoncello Spritz, and wow, talk about the ultimate pairing!

The Limoncello Spritz: Hands down the best one I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced, incredibly refreshing, and utterly amazing from the first sip to the last.

The Cannolo: As incredible as it looked! A beautifully crisp shell filled with the most delicious, rich cream.

Such a happy accident finding this gem. Highly recommend stopping by if you're ever wandering through Bologna!

Nothing beats authentic Italian pasta in the heart Nothing beats authentic Italian pasta in the heart of Verona! 🇮🇹

During my recent visit to Da Pino, right on the main square, I ordered their classic Spaghetti Carbonara (€12.00). While the busy Verona crowds meant service lagged just a little, every wait was completely forgotten the moment this absolute masterpiece arrived.

Rich, perfectly cooked, and bursting with traditional flavour, it was honestly 100% better than anything I make at home! The generous portion left me completely full and happy.

To wash it down, I branched out and tried an Americano Cocktail (€7.00) for the very first time. Since I usually lean toward sweet drinks, it was a bit on the bitter side for me, but it actually paired surprisingly well with the rich carbonara!

Despite the busy atmosphere, the incredible vibe and that unforgettable carbonara mean I’d happily come back in a heartbeat.

Feasting at @nabzysuk! I recently got the invite Feasting at @nabzysuk!

I recently got the invite to check out the incredible food over at @nabzysuk and with multiple locations already making waves, they are keeping the momentum going by opening a brand-new branch on Duke Street in Glasgow this month!

From juicy burgers and crispy wings to loaded pizzas, I had to dive in and try a bit of everything:

🍔The Chicken Burger: Really nice, giving off that classic, comforting vibe (very similar to a McDonald’s chicken burger)!
🍗Wings & Drumsticks: Absolute standout! Perfectly cooked with a super-crispy coating and an incredible flavor profile.
🍕The Pizzas: Cooked to perfection with a thin, delicious base and generous toppings. The meat pizza was a major highlight and really hit the spot.
