Sorocha’s Cheesecake Cafe and Takeaway (Bo’Ness, Scotland) 2021 : Review

The Visit

Today I was heading to Bo’ness to check out a recently opened Indian Restaurant called Bo’ness Spice….but first I had to have a spot of lunch.

When I arrived in Bo’ness I opened my maps app and looked for places to eat, a lot were closed as it was a Sunday but this one caught my eye.

The Food

Chicken Mayo Wrap £3.50

As you saw the place has Cheesecake in the name so that was 100% a must to try when I was here.

I opted for a nice chicken mayo wrap.

On arrival this looked very nice, though I am not a salad person so unfortunately that part would be left.

The wrap was very nice, and very filling and fresh.

My Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Dime 3″ Cheesecake £3.00

These we nice little cheesecakes, and I spotted them as soon as I entered and knew I had to get one or two depending how greedy I was feeling.

I opted for just one since I was going for dinner later.

This was really nice, great flavour and texture with some Dime broken up through it.

I could have easily had a seconds but maybe next visit.

My Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Overall :

I am glad I found here as the lunch was very nice, and the atmosphere was very relaxing….more so as we left the heavy rain in Glasgow and here was a lovely sunny day.

I will take another visit here sometime and try more cheesecakes.

My Rating :

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Tea at Tiffanys (North Berwick, Scotland) 2021 : Review

The Visit

I have wanted to see more of Scotland and planned on seeing a few places, but recently North Berwick caught my eye so I decided to take a drive and check it out.

The drive from Glasgow is about just over an hour and a half, unless the Edinburgh road is busy so if you do plan on going plan ahead or leave early.

On arrival I wanted to grab some lunch but didn’t know where to visit, but this was my first find so I went in and ordered some food.

Inside was very nice, and had a nice cosy atmosphere.

My Lunch

Chicken Mayo Wrap £6.45
with salad garni

As you can see from the photos this looked mega tasty! and I couldn’t wait to dig in.

I didn’t realise it would come toasted, so I was hoping it wasn’t too crispy as that spoils a nice wrap.

Ohh this was perfect! the wrap was toasted just right, the chicken nice and tender and a nice flavour.

I enjoyed every bite, and would have this again when I visit.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Overall :

I am glad I found here, and tried it as it was a very nice relaxing lunch.

I enjoyed my food, the service was good and will make sure to visit them again on my next trip to North Berwick

My Rating :

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Lunch at Blythswood Square Hotel (Glasgow) : Review

11 Blythswood Square
Glasgow G2 4AD

Website :

Visit Date : Sunday 5th March 2017

Today I was in the Blythswood Hotel for the Gin Festival event, and while we were there we decided it would be nice to go upstairs and have some lunch.

I have been to the Blythswood Hotel many times, but never really had lunch its always been Afternoon Tea or dinner.

Today I ordered :

Hot Smoked Salmon and Atlantic Prawn Mousse Wrap £8.95

I have found that the Blythswood Hotel has the presentation of any dishes perfect, and the dishes are always full of flavour.

For me the portion size was good, as it was just a lunch. The flavour for me was more towards the Salmon, as I found it difficult to taste any prawn. It was also a little dry, it could have done with some mayonnaise in the wrap.

Portion Size : 5
Flavour : 3.5
Presentation : 4

Overall it was very nice, but as I said I felt it to be a little dry for my liking.

We all had a nice relaxing lunch, as the atmosphere is always perfect.
