Brodies (Moffat, Scotland) 2021 : Review

The Visit

Today I took a drive down to York for the day, and on the way back I stopped here for my dinner.

I have never been here before, but I have heard good things so I was looking forward to my meal.

The Food

I wanted to have a main and then see what they do for deserts.

Sweetcorn Aranchini £13.95
butternut squash puree

This caught my attention as I am a big fan of Aranchini, so I had to order it and see how it was.

Presentation was really good, and instantly stood out for me.

Each item on its own was really tasty, and the arancini was very very nice. Combining a mix of items for one bite elevated everything and it was extremely delicious.

Highly recommended if you visit.

Indian Spiced Crème Brulee £6.25
orange & polenta biscuit

I have not had creme brulee for a long time, so I thought lets have it tonight…plus the Indian spiced part sounded nice.

The polenta buiscuit was very nice, and had a lovely flavour. The crème brulee had a really nice top and crunch, and flavour was mega moreish.

I will be honest though….I couldn’t taste any Indian spices to me it just tasted like a standard crème brulee…..but a really good one!
