I have passed here a good few times and also the smell has made me hungry, so I added it to my list to visit.

Today I did just that and was really looking forward to it.

First Impressions :

As you walk closer to the door you smell amazing food smells, and when you walk in that continues.

This is a very funky looking restaurant, downstairs as you can see from the below photos has a very relaxing feel with the eye catching multicoloured lanterns hanging.

Today I sat upstairs and outside.

Upstairs is also very nice, smaller than downstairs but having the outside part helps making that more appealing more so when we have some nice weather.

Now on to the food…

The Food :

What you need to remember when you order here is that its not a starter then main, as soon as the food is ready it will come out so very similar to Tapas style.

I didn’t really know what to order, so luckily it was like tapas style so I ordered 3 dishes which would give me a good feel of how the food is.

Cha Gio Heo £6.25
Crispy Pork Spring Rolls

On arrival I knew I order something good, this looked nice and also smelled nice.

To taste this was very good, packed with flavour and dipping it in the dip that came along with it added more flavour. The batter was nice and crispy, and the whole dish was great.

You can eat them as is, use the sauce or even wrap the letter around them and do all.

For me this is a dish I would order again.

Cha Ca Quy Nhon £6.15
Vietnamese Fish Cakes

I am a big fan of fish cakes, so I thought lets see how these are.

For me I was a little disappointed, as they were a little rubbery but then again I don’t know if this is how Vietnamese Fish Cakes are meant to be like this.

Flavour was OK for me, and am not sure if its one that I would order again but don’t let my thoughts stop you trying as you never know you may love these.

Heo Quay Banh Gal £8.95
Chilli glazed pork and crispy rice cakes

For me my first thought was “all that green stuff” as you know from reading am not a salad person, but lucky my girlfriend took that part and left me the rest.

This was sooooooo good, the pork was very nice and the flavour was amazing. There was the odd part that was a little chewy but I didn’t mind. The rice cakes I loved so much and wish there was more!!!

I would order this dish again and recommend you try it if you visit.

Overall :

Finally I got to visit and try the food, and I can say it didn’t disappoint. The service, the food the atmosphere plus a sunny day it was spot on and just what I needed.

I cant wait to go back and sample a few more dishes, so keep watching this space.

If you are in the area please do pop in, its now in my top 3 places in the West End.
