Popcorn Shed : Gourmet Popcorn Review

W: www.popcornshed.com

Say goodbye to boring, tasteless popcorns.  Our gourmet popcorn tastes better than the competition, is beautifully branded and our pack formats are both unique and eye-catching.

Popcorn Shed is the UK’s first super-premium gourmet popcorn brand.  We incorporate TEXTURE into our popcorn through chunks of nuts, chocolate and dried fruit, in order to maximise the taste of our popcorn and enhance ‘mouth feel’.  Our popcorn is the first UK popcorn brand to be packaged in beautiful popcorn ‘shed’ cartons, each with its own unique personality and theme.  Our shed cartons make fantastic use of colour and have great shelf presence.

The guys over at Popcorn Shed got in touch with me, and asked if I would like to try their product.

I have tried some popcorn products before, but never from Popcorn Shed so I accepted and waited with excitement to try them.

Let the popping begin…

The box was delivered to my work place, and I had to open it right away. WOW!!

Wow thanks guys I really didn’t expect so many 🙂

Ohhh look at the flavours! these sounded so appealing to my mega sweet tooth.

Eating time…

To be honest I really didn’t know what one to start with, so I just grabbed the first bag and started munching 🙂

First pop

This was very good, the salt flavour was very good not over powering just right and super addictive….and was finished very fast.

I could easily see myself snacking on this 🙂

2nd pop

I am not a Salt & Vinegar crisps or anything sweet person but I thought lets have this one next.

For me this was actually ok, the vinegar taste wasn’t as strong as I expected so it was a good balance for me.

I was instantly intrigued by the “Sweet” so i pop’d it open and started munching.

Ohhh this was my favourite so far, it was the perfect balance of sweet and salty for me and anyone. I was very disapointed when this bag was finished, as I could have easily had another.

While typing this blog I pop’d the Toffee one open, and started munching and typing.

To tell you the truth I was doing more munching, than blogging and again this was a very nice one and could have easily had another bag.

With some toffee products you get a fake toffee taste from them, or they are overpowering to try and make up for being fake toffee. This for me was very good, a nice taste and not fake and again so mmmm

As soon as I opened this bag the smell of truffle hit me! wow this smelled so good, now it was time to dig in.

This was nice, and I enjoyed it but for me personally I found the truffle taste to linger on throughout the day.

Firstly a BIG thank you to Popcorn Shed for sending me their popcorn to try, I had a fun time munching them all.

Remember the review you just read was 100% honest and not influenced in any way just because I was sent a product to review.

For me I enjoyed all the popcorn I tried, but my least fav was the White Truffle and my favs were the Toffee and the Sweet & Salty.

I have tried some other popcorn brands in the past, and recently and to be honest I found these flavours were more my style due to these being more sweet….these just tickled my taste buds more.

I loved the bright stand out packaging, and the really good and tasty flavours.

As I always say, this review is to my taste so please do try these and others…but if you have a sweet tooth you will really like these.

Beanies Flavoured Coffee : Review

I saw Beanies advertised on Facebook or Instagram, and I took a note that I wanted to try them and see how their coffee is…..this must have been many many months ago.

Finally, I decided to go onto their website and order 4 coffee’s

I decided to go for a random mix :

  • Double Chocolate
  • Mint Chocolate
  • Cookie Dough
  • Caramel Popcorn

All of these sounded good so I couldn’t wait to try them when they arrived.

The Coffee

I started with the Popcorn, then the Mint next was the Chocolate and finished on the Cookie Dough.

I found the Chocolate and the Mint were my two favourites, they had a nice taste and a nice aftertaste.

The Popcorn was nice but just didn’t hit the spot for me, and the Cookie Dough this was a big disappointment for me…..I didn’t like the taste!

Overall I liked trying the flavours, I now know 2 I won’t get again and 2 I will so what’s next well you will just have to wait and see what my next purchase is.

The Mint was today’s order clear winner!

Smoke BBQ (Glasgow) : Review

Smoke BBQ
2 West Regent Street
Glasgow G2 1RW

Visit Date : 17 April 2017

I had been to Smoke BBQ long ago, and was a little disappointed so it was time to give it a second shot. The reason I was disappointed was, what I wanted to order they didn’t have left so I had to try something else.

Just like the last time we were shown to the table, and given some popcorn to snack on while we waited.

This is a funky idea, and the popcorn was nice shame they only brought one little one to share between two.
