Child-Friendly: Yes (well-behaved kids)      Accepts: Cash & Card

I like visiting Patisserie Valerie every now and then, more so for the afternoon tea but today I decided to try something else.

There are two locations in Glasgow, I don’t really have a preference but if I had to choose I think this one is a little nicer than the other.

The Food…

Spaghetti Carbonara  £8.75

On arrival it looked a little of a disappointment, my next thought was why is there that light coloured cheese on it like that?

Another thing I noticed was the pasta was cut, rather than the big long strands…which am sure for some people is fine but for me this was strange. I am used to the normal way where I have to twist, and then eat…..

Flavour wise….not that great. Firstly it used cream and not the normal way, secondly the cheese through this was hmmm

Portion Size : 5
Flavour : 3
Presentation : 2.5
Value for Money : 2.5

Overall very disappointed, this was not good and I definitely won’t be ordering this again.

Sorry guys

Patisserie Valerie Afternoon Tea (Glasgow)  : Review

Visit Date : June 20 2016

Afternoon tea used to be a big thing, then it seem to die off. Now its back with a vengeance and more popular than ever. Nearly every restaurant offers it at some point, and 99% of the time they are fully booked.

I have tried several places in Glasgow for afternoon tea and there are only a small amount that give you good value for money and make you feel nice and relaxed. You would be surprised to learn that two of the big popular places and fancy hotels/restaurants might not be in my list….but thats for another review.

Patisserie Valerie is one of currently 3 places in Glasgow that I think gives you good value for money, makes you feel welcomes and also relaxed.

The selection is always very good in here, and also the service. Also unlike a lot of other places you do get normal sized sandwich slices rather than tiny finger sandwiches. The staff are always very pleasant and very helpful and this is every time I have been here and not just a one off.

The price for afternoon tea is at a good price, and as I said its really good value for the money. Do keep watching sites like Groupon and LivingSocial as Patisserie Valerie do some times put deals on and they are not to be missed.

Patisserie Valerie is one of the three I would highly recommend if you want to have afternoon tea in Glasgow, keep watching my posts for the next review or feel free to contact me and ask.
