The Great Outdoor Cinema – Dirty Dancing 2021 : Review

Event Date : 16/08/2021 (Invited)

About

By the team that brought you The Drive-In Cinema in 2020, we cannot wait to welcome you to The Great Outdoor Cinema in 2021.

This year it’s all about getting outside, enjoying the fresh air and making up for lost entertainment. Enjoy our selection of street food alongside cinema snack classics such as fresh popcorn and an ice blast! Make the most of our mobile bar and sip on an ice cold gin & tonic whilst you sit back and enjoy the film (subject to licensing).

The Event

I have never been to an outdoor cinema before, so I was very excited and couldnt wait to have that experience.

The guys asked if I would like to come to the first Glasgow night, and watch Dirty Dancing…and I instantly said yes as it sounded lots of fun plus Dirty Dancing is a very good movie.

The event was at Pollock House which is only a 20 min drive from where I currently stay, plus its also a short drive from Silverburn Shopping Centre so you could easily go for a shop meal and then the film.

On arrival I found a parking space, and grabbed my foldup chair. You could hire chairs on the night, but I had one so I thought I might as well use it.

It was at the back of Pollock House, and the screen was setup and waiting for everyone. There was also a food truck, in case anyone wanted some dinner or movie nibbles.

We all sat and waited for others to arrive, and also the movie to start.

It was time for all of us to have the time of our life……bad pun sorry.

Overall:

Firstly a big thanks to the guys for the invite tonight.

Tonight was lots of fun, and it was a nice dry night which really helped. It was a great first night for everyone, and we all loved the film.

They have more films on show, but be fast as they are getting booked up quick.

Check them out now!! you will love it!
